This compant won’t pay claims
This company won’t pay claims. I submitted four claims for one of my dogs. Embrace denied three of them, claiming that they were pre-existing conditions. Review the negative reviews of this company. This is a typical pattern. To add insult to injury the company raised my premiums 38% after the first year of coverage. They wanted $1500 for no coverage. I cancelled and looking for a company that will sell me actual insurance.

Spot is great!
My dog was recently diagnosed with a mast cell tumor so we have had a lot of specialist visits, a trip to urgent care, and surgery. I have never really had to use his insurance before because he has always been pretty healthy so I was a bit nervous with all of the upcoming appointments and costs. I work in veterinary medicine and see how some of the pet insurance companies let clients down but Spot was always one that I heard great things about. The process to submit the insurance claims after each of these visits was so easy. The claims were processed very quickly and after I met the deductible I was reimbursed within just a few days. Spot Pet Insurance definitely put my mind at ease over these last few months and I’m glad I went with it.

Not worth it, hidden escalation, less coverage, poor response to policy holders
Have been a customer for 10 years with our dog. While the claims process has been fine over the years, slowly but surely they’ve raised premiums and reduced coverage. Now, they announced changes that more than double the monthly premium. So at 110+/month and minimum deductible of $750, I need to pay more than $2000 in a year before I am able to only be reimbursed 50%. Not sure how that is worth it for most people with relatively healthy dogs like ours. I won’t be returning as a customer in the future given their poor response to these changes when I called and messaged for an explanation, won’t recommend them.

Vet Bills are Expensive
I had to take my dog to the vet & I spent over $900 dollars, but it was a great relief to submit the claims & receive the majority of that money back! And the speed at which the claims were processed was fantastic too!
