When it comes down to the actual payout the explanation of what is not covered is sketchy.

When it comes down to the actual payout the explanation of what is not covered is sketchy. Consultation exclusion is not stated on the website as what is not included. It says exams not covered. Also In my case of major tumor removal there were other issues the pet had. No way of seeing this without the surgeon already being in the chest cavity. They took a biopsy of another organ. Of course this in the eyes of Trupanion Insurance Company it is another organ and therefore a separate deductible!? I find that beyond my control to make financial decisions after the fact. Why have insurance? Bottom line, Im glad we had some coverage. The hospital are the heros who prolonged the life of our beloved pet. The insurance was the reason we opted to do the surgery to begin with.
