It’s quick and easy
It’s quick and easy. After going to the vet, submit your receipt and veterinarians soap notes, then wait for the review from the insurance to be reimbursed after your deductible was used for the year. That’s it!

Terrible customer service.
I signed up my dog, gave all of her records up front and was charged the first premium of $145 right away. I then was issued the policy with a welcome package only to receive a scammy email after the first two payments- asking for additional information on medical. I personally work in insurance, we would never issue policies to then ask additional information to try to avoid paying any future claims. If they wanted to ask additional information it should have been done before the policy was issued. The company’s customer service was dismissive and rude. She continued to try to gaslight me by saying they explicitly state during enrollment that they re ask questions about medical when that is 100 percent not true. The funny thing is my dog is perfectly healthy, but after realizing that they try to find additional info AFTER issuing the policy left such a bad taste in my mouth. I cancelled the policy and the most ridiculous part was they only refunded me partial payment for ONE month. After reading other reviews and seeing how they increase premiums based on age and don’t pay out quite often. I’ll take my business elsewhere. A really gross way to run a company by false advertising and hiding such important information in their fine print.

Healthy Paws Took My Money for 6 Years and Abandoned My Cat When He Needed Care
I insured my cat Simba with Healthy Paws since he was 4 months old. When he developed IBS at age 1, everything fell apart. Healthy Paws refused to cover any of his prescription food — even though regular food triggers his symptoms and makes him sick. They also denied exam fees and lab work, claiming they were “routine,” even though every visit was for IBS flare-ups. For six years, they kept raising my premium while denying almost everything that mattered. I paid responsibly. I followed the policy. His vet documented medical necessity. And Healthy Paws still found excuses to deny care. I finally cancelled because the insurance became useless and expensive. I don’t expect anything from them now — I just want other pet owners to know how miserable this company is to deal with if your pet develops a chronic condition.
