Considering cancelling
Not impressed and considering cancelling. While signing up was smooth, we were denied a basic claim that clearly fits under cancer screening coverage. It was denied outright and when we follow up up there was no response. It’s not clear why we would pay for some thing that we cannot use. Therefore, we are just giving them free money right now not thrilled, but also not sure about real alternatives in the market.

Your deductible is higher than you agree to When I was switching insurance companies, manypets had decent reviews and the price was right. To my surprise, when I filed my first claim, they agreed to all charges, but I didn’t get any money back from them, even though I went over my deductible ($580 on a $500 deductible). That’s because, unlike in any other insurance, many pets takes a reimbursement percentage BEFORE your deductible is applied. So instead of getting reimbursed for what I paid over my deductible, they claim I haven’t surpassed my deductible yet. By their math, I actually have to pay $625 on my $500 deductible before they start reimbursement. This is an insurance scam.

I'm a Trupanion member for about 10 years now. Just got a rate increase today 3/23/23. it's tad bit over 20% increase. WOW. It's unfortunate that there's a huge price hike from this place.

Such a relief
My Ganni boy needed surgery to remove a mast cell tumor suddenly. I was expecting my first child at the time and knowing Embrace would cover most of the surgery removed the stress from the process. He is at home healthy along with my baby girl and I feel so blessed to have this coverage. The embrace customer care and claims management answered all my questions any time I called and the claim was processed smoothly.

Fairly reimbursed
I had called ahead of time to see if my pet's visit might be covered, based on what needed doing. They said they could not guarantee it, which I understand, but that it most likely would be covered by my plan. I ended up getting reimbursed for most of the bill. The only things I didn't get reimbursed for were vaccines, which aren't covered in my plan anyway, so I understand. While I do feel like it's hard to know the full range of coverage based on the documentation, the customer service is helpful on explaining where things might fall. The claims take a minute to process, but I'm glad I was able to get reimbursed as much as i did.
