My husband laughed at me when I got Pets Best insurance on our puppy four years ago. It turns out she has allergies and not only have we had to treat several hot spots, but she is now on Cytopoint injections every six weeks. Pets Best has paid like clockwork every time. It gives me huge piece of mind knowing I can get my baby treated, without worrying about cost, and just do what is right for her.

I never hope to need my pet insurance but our 3 month old has had a couple of small medical issues. Glad we chose Trupanion. From the first call to set up the policy to reviewing and making claim payments, it has been a very positive experience. We did lots of research before settling on Trupanion and I’m confident we chose the right one.

0 Stars This is the absolute worst pet insurance company. They lie and give you the runaround then still deny your claim. You should be ashamed of yourselves MetLife! I paid $6,500 for my pet’s surgery, he had a fracture on his Left hip, I tripped over him one night. When I took him to urgent care the next day, they only saw hip dysplasia on the right hip. Nothing wrong with the left at the moment. When I took him back to my vet when the pain didn’t stop and he was limping on left hip, it was discovered he actually had a fracture on the Left hip which had NO hip dysplasia, only the right did. They denied it over and over again claiming they needed additional documents. Almost 6 months later and they never approved or paid surgical bill. This was clearly due to an accident but these scumbags saw hip dysplasia and blamed it on “preexisting conditions” You will find yourself in a lawsuit one day MetLife for all the people you’ve wronged. DO NOT ENROLL IN A POLICY WITH METLIFE. They are a nightmare to get any claim over $500 approved. Save your time, energy and go with any other pet insurance company. If you have a current policy with MetLife, CANCEL IT, I wouldn’t wish this frustration on anyone.

Look no further.
I called to get the best prices and tailor to my needs. Customer service rep was awesome, she not only went over EVERYTHING, but also gave me advice she didn't need to. I had Embrace, and they were making me wait a year for pr-exsisting conditions for a year starting Dec of 2021 and would run out Dec 2022. The conditions were worms that were resolved and cleared. When my kittens came home I was feeding too much as once, so they regurgitated. I called the vet for advice and she told us to feed them more frequently with smaller portions and it would resolve , which they did.. Embrace's policy was if something happened before Dec 2022, the clock would restart again from that date for another year. I was paying about $45 a month, no wellness included. Fast forward to MetLife Pet, I saw people on my various pet sites on Facebook mention MetLife Pet and make sure to CALL them, not to sign up. I told MetLife pet about the preexisting conditions and they said it was fine. Accident started from day 1 and illness started 14 days later. That was after the soap notes were read. I have a policy that is 250 annual deductible, 100 percent coverage. It covers wellness as well, and a host of other goodies. I pay about 61 dollars monthly. My cats prescription fleat/tick meds and heart-worm meds run me about 170 every 3 months, the yearly exam between fecal samples, vaccines and exams cost me about 450 dollars. I actually break even on the insurance, and if anything would happen to my cats, I have piece of mind I have coverage. I have called them several times regarding various questions, I am ocd, and like no surprises. They are always very nice, take their time answering. One of the best customer service I have ever encountered. I do have to pay out of pocket for reimbursement, but Their turn around time is super fast. I just ordered pills for my cats last week, they were shipped but were not here until tonight. I submitted as soon as I purchased and I just got an email tonight saying my claim has been approved and will be in my account later this week. I can't say enough about this company, I am super, super excited to have found them, and drive people crazy that have pets telling them to sign up for the insurance. My advice is to have a credit card with a good limit used just for the cats if possible. I have it put into my checking and then I disperse it to the credit cards.
