Pathetic

Pathetic. Coverage for my English Bulldog began when he was purchased. This means he had a FULL VET assessment and there was NO MENTION OF RESTRICTED AIRWAYS IN ANY OF HIS MEDICAL RECORDS. He just turned two this year. There was NO lapse in his policy, no missed payments (they make sure of that!!!). His policy had a $500/deductible which was met during the plan year. And the remaining was a standard 80/20. He was suffering from difficulty breathing and vomiting of phlegm. The vet immediately identified he needed soft palate surgery. This is common in similar breeds and NEEDED FOR QUALITY OF LIFE AND TO REDUCE RISK OF ASPIRATION. Basically, as he grew into an adult additional skin began to grow over airway. IT WAS NEVER A PREEXISTING CONDITION AND WE HAVE ALL HIS ROUTINE VET RECORDS TO DEMONSTRATE THIS. Full denial of his $995 claim. Explanation as follows "Medical and illness coverage is available 14-days after the Policy Effective data. Symptoms of the condition being claimed began before the effective date of the policy and is not part of the policy coverage"... Pre existing conditions. Again, UNTIL THIS EPISODE THERE WAS NO DOCUMENTATION BY LICENSED VETERNARY SERVICES OF A PROBLEM WITH AIRWAY DUE TO SOFT PALATE CONDITION.

Car Break-in and the pros at Sonnet

Overnight, thieves broke into my car and helped themselves to many items I had loaded for my very early golf round. I have both house and auto insurance with Sonnet, and making the claim was a breeze. The folks I dealt with at Sonnet eased my distress and were real pros. The whole process took about 3 weeks and I am really happy with my settlement, and that I can now purchase new golf equipment. Thanks Sonnet

Amanda solved my problem quickly

Amanda solved my problem quickly. Apparently, l missed, or accidentally erased, some vital information. I know l had entered it, but managed to bump an arrow that erased it. Clumsy fingers.

Absolute scam of a company

Absolute scam of a company. I’m a few short years in and my premiums have almost doubled. This is in addition to myself tripling my deductible in a futile effort to reign the price in. They claim these prices are for additional services being covered, which seems like a BS excuse. Best case scenario they are forcing additional coverage on you without giving you the option. Unfortunately as pets get older, it becomes almost impossible to get coverage elsewhere. They know your stuck with them and will gouge you to the extreme. I’ll never sign a new pet up with them again. Edit: Trupanion, I have no interest in discussing this further with you. I’ve done so numerous times as you jacked my price. Please note that I’ve tripled my deductible; that would be one of my discussions. This review isn’t for you, as I’m done dealing with the PR emails where you tell me that you’ll charge me whatever you want. It’s to give some transparency to other people considering your service.

Why is there no option for birds?

Why is it only dogs and cats listed, but not pet birds?
