Years ago we adopted sibling puppies. When they were 4, the brother became suddenly ill and had internal bleeding. He was finally diagnosed with cancer and died a month later. It cost us $3,000 for ER vet and surgery to determine what was wrong with him. We were heartbroken to lose a pup that young. We would have bankrupted ourselves to save him but nothing could be done. We bought FIGO insurance for his sister. The next year, she had the equivalent of a torn ACL. The surgery and care cost $6,000. I expected pushback from the insurance on some technicality. THERE WAS NONE! I paid my $750 deductible and they paid the rest! It was a great experience and our pup is fine now. Our new puppy is covered by FIGO now too.

We have been looking for a comprehensive dog insurance. After performing a market comparison we decided the best insurance including an additional wellness plan was provided by ManyPets. Therefore, we decided to insure 3 of our dogs with them for reasonable amount, it was easy, and customer friendly. We cannot comment if there is indeed a claim to file yet.

Signed up for illness and accident and…
Signed up for illness and accident and also a wellness plan. Already have used the wellness plan. I wish when you sign a puppy up for the 1st year they gave you a little more on wellness. It’s not going to be enough to cover all the puppy shots. They did handle the claim within a few days. And I’m now waiting for what qualified to be deposited in my bank account which they said would take between 5 to 7 days. So far so good.

I had Pets Best for many years for both my cats. As soon as I filed a claim for One of my sick cats, who did not make it, my rates for the remaining cat skyrocketed. I’m talking going from under one hundred dollars a month for 2 cats, to 179.00 a month for one cat. I found a new insurance at half the cost for the same dollar amount coverage. I will say they pay out the reimbursement quite fast. Had I only had one cat, this would have worked for me, but I can only assume my rate doubled for having so many claims on my cat that didn’t make it. If you have one pet this may work for you but if you start filing claims, lookout.

Easy sign up at reasonable prices
It was easy to get the dogs on these plans at reasonable prices. If it is as easy to file a claim I will be very satisfied with this company. I like the fast that they will cover preexisting conditions if symptom free for 18 months---that seems very fair.

10/10 for Healthy Paws Insurance
I signed up for Healthy Paws when my aussiedoodle was 8 weeks old. She is almost 2 years old and has had several visits to the vet because of her sensitive stomach. I have never had an issue with Healthy Paws not reimbursing for her visits. They do NOT reimburse for exam visits, spay or neuter, or yearly shots but, with my plan, I get 80% back of what they do cover. This last visit to the vet she had was an overnight visit and they even followed up in a sweet email asking how my pup was doing. It’s super easy to file a claim. I just get an itemized statement from her vet, scan it to my computer, upload to Healthy Paws “File a Claim”, and submit. Usually, I see a reimbursement within 72 hours. Sometimes less. My monthly plan is only $23 with a $100 deductible. SO much cheaper than having to come up with hundreds/thousands of dollars in case of an emergency. Wonderful insurance company! I highly recommend them!

My Labradoodle got into my purse
My Labradoodle got into my purse and stole my asthma inhaler thinking it was a toy, she punctured the cylinder and received about 50 doses up her snout. After rushing her to an emergency animal hospital and getting wonderful care, she survived. Trupanion covered 90% of a $2200 bill and paid them directly within 24hrs. No paperwork, Great phone support and immediate approval of my claim. I’m a 100% satisfied customer and so is my dog Luna!
