Good Experience in signing up for Pet Insurance. Read and review Your Pet Contract provisions (sample contract) carefully before signing up, Especially Section Ie "What we need from you. "Routine Care." They require a pet owner to have an extensive track record of preventive care from Wellness Exams, Vaccinations, and preventive Dental, Flea, and Tick applications at the minimum. Routine for a responsible pet owner, protecting the insurance company from paying claims due to owner neglect. Based on my review, non-compliance with their routine owner criteria could lead to possible claim payout challenges or outright denial. Lastly, when submitting your historical pet care record (on your first claim), ensure the records include all of the Doctor Notes associated with every billing statement. It is not part of the bill given to customers, and I assume it is part of any submittal given to the insurance company.

Can’t figure out how to respond back to…
Can’t figure out how to respond back to them - So far the issue of not being able to email my claims still isn’t fixed According to customer service they were going to load my first claim manually however I have no proof that this was done Now I have another claim so their promise of fixing their issues ASAP is another false promise and now falling on deaf ears The other issue is that I can’t log in on my iPad or iPhone and was told I needed a stronger signal Nope - this doesn’t ever happen with anyone else so again I repeat their technology is horrible I’ll be looking for another vendor shortly So what? It took you 4 days to let me k ow you received both claims and then tell me you need medical records for 2 very simple claims This is clearly a delay tactic If I’m not reimbursed within 2 weeks you’ll be hearing from the Department of Insurance Do not tell me it sometimes takes 2-4 weeks to reimburse-not one of your competitors takes that long

well so far I haven't been able to use the insurance for a claim payout because of exclusions, but my puppy is 7months old and has an ear infection and kennel cough. one was before insurance began and the other excluded because of allergies affecting ears, nasal.

A very good idea
Trupanion has been wonderful. My dog developed an ear infection and allergies. As a result, she takes allergy meds. Trupanion has been a great help in the cost of these meds. I am very thankful that I picked up a pamphlet at my vets when I took my new puppy in. This company quickly takes care of a claim. They do things right. Now I donât worry so much.
