I can’t say enough about Trupanion and…

I can’t say enough about Trupanion and their support for Jackson over the past 14 years.

The ending wasn't all bad is the only thing that made my experience 'great'. Your legalese appears to state that molar extractions don't count as a preventative and therefore don't qualify for reimbursement even though the whole premise of the procedure is to PREVENT further harm or death.

First time pet insurance buyers

We are first time pet insurance buyers and we called today for assistance and Mrs. Debi was ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL! She was so patient and walked us forwards and backwards through the different policy number until we settled on the right one for our Finn.

Embrace is AMAZING

We recently adopted a puppy, and I insisted with my boyfriend we get pet insurance, as I don’t have it for my elderly dog and know how expensive trips to the vet can be. Low and behold, just slightly under two months later, she has a freak accident and breaks both of her femurs. We had literally only paid out $82 in premiums, but Embrace just covered $5,000 (our yearly max) of her now $7,600 bills. Their claims process was SO easy. I took pictures of the bills, uploaded them to the app and within 2 days, they answered and said they’d be covering our claim. We LOVE Embrace and would recommend them to anyone, and have been! I wish I could give them more stars!

claim processing and payment

Unexplicable delay in processing and pay my claim. No-one has giving me any reason/explanation. No-one to contact to understand when can I expect reimbursement.

I gave them a 1 star because they…

I gave them a 1 star because they denied EVERY claim I submitted due to pre-existing conditions. I decided to cancel my policy after I submitted them a claim to have my dog's ears flushed out because he somehow got dirt and debris in his ears. Unfortunately, he has a history of ear infections, which the vet treats by putting medicine in his ears. This particular visit to the vet about his ears was not an infection, but Embrace did not cover it. Plus, I had never submitted a claim to them for this type of visit because this is the first time he was ever treated for dirt/debris in his ears. This is the response I got from Embrace: "Accident or Illness Claim: I am sorry to inform you that the diagnosis provided to us by your veterinarian for this claim is not covered under your policy because a dermatologic condition, allergic dermatitis, was noted in the medical records on 4/6/21, which was prior to the policy purchase. This makes dermatologic conditions (including but not limited to debris in ear canal) pre-existing. Based upon the pre-existing condition, coverage is not available for the claim presented. I understand that this email does not bring you good news. If you feel I am incorrect in my assessment and have additional information for me to review (such as additional doctor's notes or a statement from your veterinarian), I am happy to reopen Lucky's claim. If you could send me any additional information in the next 14 days, I would be happy to take a look." I did not bother filing an appeal because at that point I decided to look elsewhere.
