Caring company
We have been with ASPCA pet insurance for about 9 years. I truly feel they do care about our pets, our family members. When one of our kitties passed away last year, they sent us flowers; that meant so much to us. The only negative thing I have to say is, sometimes it takes a little longer to get claims completed but it’s usually during the summer months, when more pets are getting injured. We are so glad we found ASPCA pet insurance.

Long term customer wants transparency
We have been a long-term, loyal customer of Trupanion, we purchased pet insurance when our large breed dog was a puppy 9 years ago. I have always promoted this company with the utmost respect, honesty and loyalty, as we appreciated the service greatly. This service included timely responses to questions, and a 2 day turn around for payout of claim submissions. While I appreciate as a senior dog ages, insurance goes up, we were recently not notified that trupanion was switching to a new “manual” reimbursement model, and in the same week our insurance price went up 25%. We now have to wait 5 weeks for reimbursement opposed to 2 days. For our elderly mother who has a dog, this has left a significant financial burden. Firstly, I do appreciate this is a transition period, but Trupanion was not in any way transparent with the roll out of their new manual system to customers. Secondly, “growing pains” (which the agent just stated were the cause of the delayed transaction) are not how multi-million dollar insurance companies run, if you don’t have the IT, marketing, and payroll support to roll out a new system..DONT. The folks that work for Trupanion, especially in the customer service department are incredibly kind and responsive, and I can only imagine the number of complaints they now have to navigate for a corporate decision that will certainly leave a mark on this company for years to come. You have just lost a significant amount of customers.

I've been with them 2 years now and my dog's getting older and head and emergency dental situation come app and they have given me nothing but grief for the past almost a month now about the bill I first sent them in the 2nd day after his surgery the itemized copy and the one showing where I paid for it and they keep saying they haven't got it they need to verify it so I scanned it did APDGF whatever PDF PF whatever and then I put that in and now they're saying they're gonna call my vet because they get more information. Well of course they don't want to pay 90% or a 100% of a 1300 plus!?!?🤔🙄😶 Byer wear check the BBB first compare. Only ask friends at the dog park. Thanks so very much and have a blessed day....CLnChico2 💞 Also date of experience 5 11 6 26. You name it very unprofessional on phone calls not to mention straight up line cause just like they record I let them know they're being recorded as well.

Trupanion Took the Stress out of a Very Stressful Day
What can I say. I signed up with Trupanion hoping I really would never have to use it. They are simply the best company and true to their word. They make a stressful time a little easier with their stellar customer service. I didn't have to deal with upfront payment or submitting claims. It was all done by the Vet office and the invoice was paid before I even picked up my dog from surgery. Thank you Trupanion 🩷
