Get any other insurance for your pet. Pets Best traps you by increasing your premium exponentially every year, regardless of how much you've paid into the policy already and you cannot switch to another provider if your pet has ever been diagnosed with anything. My dog's vet has said my dog has developed some "mild arthritis" that is actually very mild considering her age and their "underwriter" was quick to remind me that nothing associated with that would be covered in the future if I changed plans. I was quoted a significantly lower amount if I canceled my pre-paid insurance a month earlier and started out as a new customer starting out with a much older dog than I was just to renew my policy. When I questioned that, they assured me that nothing that had been previously even mentioned as a potential concern by my vet (she has no official diagnosis for anything) would be covered. Don't trap yourself with this terrible "insurance" it is a waste of money spent on high premiums every year with minimal reimbursements even after the deductible and at 90%. They say they pay for prescriptions but they don't pay for prescription diets. Their app is terrible, you cannot use it to submit a claim - it simply doesn't work, you have to go to their website. Also, the claims take double the time to process than they estimate, which is already far too long (up to 45 business days) especially when every other provider pays claims almost instantly and actually has functioning apps through which you can submit the claim. Don't make the same mistake I did. Get your pet decent insurance and do not get trapped by "Pet's Best." Good luck :)

Absolutely the worst pet insurance. I have 2 dogs and have been submitting claims since December, they refused the pay all my claims. They take more than 20 + days to review the claims and reply them. They have denied all my claims so far from different vets. The app is horrible.

Enrollment was very easy
Enrollment was very easy. I signed up for the 0 deductible plan. Same day I took my dog to the vet. He had a seizure a couple days before. Trupanion didn’t cover a penny, because they claim it was a prior condition before I signed up. My dog hasn’t even been diagnosed with seizures prior to the day I took him, meaning officially by a vet. So I paid almost $300 for a month, and they didn’t even pay half of the Vets visit, not even the medication I had to get for him at the pharmacy. So I’m really disappointed.

I have 2 pets on this insurance. 2 claims were reveiwed, both claims accepted. It is stressful having pets with medical problems , dealing with the stress with the comfort of the pets, they are family, don't want to see them in distress. Sometimes it can be confusing to figure out which costs from a divided receipt should go where, but Kelsey explained that I can just submit evertything and all determinations will be made per the medical records. I'm very impresesed
I'm very impresesed. The levels of insurance you can sign up for are very clearly delineated. The Website & App are super easy to use. I submitted my first claim and it was as easy as taking a photo with my phone. I was impressed with the Explanation of Benefits (EOB) once my claim was submitted. It clearly stated what/how much was covered. I would highly recommend.
