Horrible pet insurance
I bought the premium insurance that covers approximately 90% with a $200 deductible as well as wellness. Approximately two months ago, I submitted a claim for an allergic dermatitis. My vet gave a steroid as well as some antibiotics, which came out to approximately $200 and a referral to another dermatologist for further evaluation. The dermatologist proceeded to prescribe two medications and two shampoos in order to treat the condition and the bill was approximately $700. It took approximately three months for a decision, and I was denied on all parts because either it wasn’t covered or there was more medical records that were needed. During this process, I have called the help center multiple times, and I always get the runaround or broken promises on follow ups. For example, the service desk said that they would give me a call for updates, which never happened, and that they would follow up with my vet, which they never did. I have uploaded the medical records from the vet, but they say that these particular records did not provide enough information. For contrast with a different pet insurance, the same medical records that I uploaded were able to be processed, and the decision was able to be made with dispersement within two weeks. Please do not use this company! Although this claim was only a few hundred dollars, I’m nervous, that if there was a larger expense, I would not be able to get the appropriate reimbursement. I thought this was a good deal, because they included wellness as part of their insurance, but it seems as though this is a scam. Additionally, I’m worried that if I go with a different pet insurance, I would not be able to get insured because of my pets, pre-existing condition. I’m upset that I didn’t do more research into picking the right insurance, but I hope my review will prevent you and others from having the same frustrating experience as I’ve had.

Top Notch Insurer
Highly recommend insurance for a pet, especially ASPCA! We started right when he was little. The process for customizing your plan was great, with estimated prices and all. Submitting claims is a breeze through the app, and response time of less than two weeks is stellar! I have not had any issues working with this provider. Some days I wish they cover humans too for how wonderful it has worked out for us. My only complaint would be the app itself. With the background white it’s difficult to see what all is said or if there is a push button or not.

They take your money
They don’t cover things pet parents usually need done. They renew automatically without your consent and won’t give you a full refund. Don’t buy their insurance, they’re terrible.

Claim not honored
Not happy that I bought insurance that should have started on the 8th of September the day I purchased it. Same day the dog has his well visit with the vet.
