Happy with Healthy Paws
All of my interactions with Healthy Paws have been great. I have three dogs insured under Healthy Paws. I inherited a dog and was able to easily transfer over the insurance from the previous caregiver to me. I like the flexibility of building the coverage I want, and their premiums are reasonable. I recently had my first claim with Healthy Paws when my young dog had a neurological issue. When I knew the vet bills would be high I called the customer service line to discuss with them the process. They were super helpful and comforting. They requested my vet records ahead of time so that when I did submit my claim the process went smooth and I received my reimbursement quickly. I am very happy with Healthy Paws. They were very compassionate in all of my interactions with them.

It was reasonably easy.
It was reasonably easy. But its taking them 30 days to process a request for $89. And I’ve heard nothing back yet about the second vet visit which was $466. That’s a lot of money and I’d like to know what’s going on.

Excellent company
Recently, one of my dogs tore her left acl, then 3 months later, she tore her right. Healthy Paws reimbursed us 80% of the cost for each. They also have reimbursed us for medications that are used for her pain. Having them has given us piece of mind. They even checked in with us to see how she was doing.

Best People, Best Coverage, Best EVERYTHING
The representative that helped me was pleasant, polite, and asked the questions needed to provide our pets with the best coverage at the best price. We contacted Trupanion as a result of a special promotion offered by our vet, Big Bear Vet, and our new puppy was easy, but she also made it easy to add our other two pets. BONUS!!!! BETTER COVERAGE and ALL THREE PETS covered for less than $100/month more than I was paying for ONE pet with another provider. THANK YOU!!!!!

Harder to submit a claim on the app
They made it harder to submit a claim on the app. The invoice adding feature now only lets you upload a photo. The pdf invoice I had was not able to be selected. The app is also painfully slow and infuriating to deal with as it logs you out and errors consistently.

Improved app processes
The new document submission process has made this so much easier and efficient. Consequently, I received communications from Embrace re: status of my claims in a timely manner and was able to track the claim as Embrace worked on it.
