I love Trupanion!!
I love trupanion- they have been an amazing partner in my pups healthcare, most recently my pup had some dental issues which ended up being quite costly- trupanion covered probably 60% of the cost!! It was very helpful and gave me peace of mind to focus on helping my bestie heal after her procedure. The coverage has been worth it and so valuable- I’m a subscriber for life!

Super easy and helpful
Our dog had a torn dew claw, and Greenlake Animal Hospital did a great job fixing the issue. I was dragging my feet getting reimbursed because I was worried about the time and effort, but Lemonade was amazing. The process was quick, and simple. We were approved and reimbursed faster than I could have imagined. I hope I never need to use it again, but I know the process will be simple if I do.
They refused to pay a claim even though…
They refused to pay a claim even though I provided a physical for my dog saying he didn’t have a pre existing condition. Yes I missed the fine print saying the physical had to be done within a certain time. I am unable to provide those documents but did provide documents from before the incident. No way he should not have been covered.

First claim - smooth as butter
This was the first event in 4 years for my very active Terrier mix. I submitted my claim (online) the day I received my vet bill post-surgery. HealthyPaws was responsive, asked the vet directly for the medical history which was submitted promptly (thank you) and HealthyPaws direct-deposited the expected reimbursement within a couple of days to my bank account. Such peace of mind having this insurance to back up my decisions regarding medical care.
