Great deal for the money
Great deal for the money. I have 6 Siberian Huskies, 3 Pomeranians, and a toy poodle. And I spend a lot of money on them from time to time. And I get reimbursed very quickly.

Rachel was awesome
Rachel was awesome. She took the time answering all my questions and was very knowledgeable, providing me with additional information making the decision quite easy. The price for the policy is quite manageable given the benefits received. I also loke the fact that the vet is paid directly. All I have to do is pay my deductible. Not having to pay everything upfront and wait for reimbursement is an excellent benefit.

When I signed up for Embrace…
When I signed up for Embrace approximately 2 years ago, the cost to ensure my dog was $600 a year. Unexpectedly, Embrace has now than doubled the yearly cost and wants me to pay over $1300 a year for the same coverage. I tried to call to talk to someone at Embrace about this, but they were unable to help and only offered to "change my coverage around" which would only reduce the cost by a couple hundred or so and increase my deductible etc. I understand costs can rise, inflation, pet age, etc. However, more than double isn't right. $1373 for one dog with a $700 deductible is wild...why am I paying more for one pets insurance than my own car or health insurance? I want to change providers, however, I'm aware most insurance companies won't cover any illnesses that arose during the coverage period of previous insurer, essentially leaving the insured with little to no options to go elsewhere if they want to stay covered for the same conditions. I think this is pretty unfair to the little guy, scummy, rigged, and not a practice of integrity. Embrace shouldn't feel good about these practices. More than doubling, the cost of insurance isn't acceptable, but they do this knowing once you're locked in you can't really switch to another provider. Also, I've had to fight tooth and nail to have previous claims covered, go through lengthy appeals processes, etc. They take their sweet time and try to deny you when you rightfully submit claims. Embrace likes to respond to these types of complaints without any helpful resolution.... just skip the reply unless you're actually going to help.

You get what you pay for
You get what you pay for. These guys aren't the cheapest, but I did my homework and their coverage is very broad. I've made claims and been reimbursed promptly per the policy. They don't mess around with tiny print exclusions. I've insured my two goldens with them for over a year now and am happy for the peace of mind that they pay what they owe and I get what I expected.

Insurance makes a huge difference
Our sweet girl Lily was diagnosed with a large liver mass. Fortunately it appeared to be able to be fully removed by a liver lobectomy. The cost estimate was $8000-$10,000. Without Trupanion we would have had to make the very difficult decision to not have it removed but because we did have Trupanion she had her surgery. Dr Reist and the team at Blue Pearl in Renton were wonderful taking care of Lily and the preauthorization and payment was so easy. Thanks to the Blue Pearl Team and Trupanion Lily is recovering wonderfully at home and I get to spoil her for hopefully many years more.
