I’d give your screeners a 5 Star ⭐️ rating
I’d give Staff a 5 Star ⭐️ rating. However, what I find most frustrating is going back & forth between the Veterinarian & Pets Best Staff by phone, text & email messages trying to collect required documents for reimbursement. Wish Pets Best were as good at this as the are at collecting our monthly auto-payments. What a waste of time, resources & much frustration & stress on all parties. What’s ironic Pets Best ends up contacting the Vet.for additional information regardless. I was in Legal Management with the State of California for over 25 years & had to be thoroughly organized & efficient to ensure all deadlines were met! I recommendation to your management team is to cut out all the waste & time for all parties & contact the Vet. Office directly. I don’t think the main problem is having to wait for the reimbursement but instead ALL THE STRESS THAT THE CUSTOMERS ENDURE THE PROCESS! I would be more than glad to answer any other questions that might be helpful.

Do not get caught out, like us.
They have a very obvious policy, that after 2 years is clear but is very duplicitous. I signed up at the end of 2021 for $60 per month. At the end of 2022, they upped that to $72.56. This is an over 20% increase. Lo and behold, at the end of 2023, they upped it again to $93.08. That is a further 28%+ increase. Therefore, in 2 years total, they have already increased the monthly costs by over 55%!! That is an additional $400 per year! That is completely untenable, and I am 100% moving elsewhere. I just wanted to warn others as this is their model, quote low and then massively raise the costs each year hoping the owner won't cotton on or will be too busy to move. Avoid.

I want to update my previous review with new info and after reading some of the comments. The agent who took my original info and opened my account was wonderful. However, once I realized they would look for any info to decline a claim and would not allow my vet nor I to get the incorrect info corrected I decided to drop it and look elsewhere. They even would deny coverage because I ONCE thought my dog swallowed something (He didn't). I called 3 times to make sure they would deny coverage because of an incident that DID NOT occur! Oh my goodness! I have never met a ruder customer service rep than Matt. He accused me of wanting to perpetrate insurance fraud and lectured me on the legal penalties. When I asked how I could be guilty of insurance fraud when I was trying to DROP their insurance he just went on lecturing me about the criminality of insurance fraud. I first asked nicely several times for him to stop talking but he wouldn't let me get a word in edgewise ( I should have just hung up on him and called back to get someone else.) I had my vet review all the paperwork and his opinion was I'd be better off saving the premiums or going with another company. When I told Matt I was offended at his insinuation he kept saying "What did I say?" Then he had the effrontery to say "So how are you going to pay for your pet's vet bills?" First of all that is none of his business and secondly, I have had numerous pets, most with expensive end of life bills and I managed to pay them. Sure Trupanion is very nice when they are taking your money, but try to make a claim or get something fixed in the record and it is like the furies of H - LL were leashed upon you. Good luck to those who choose to ignore the bad experiences of others. My vet was astonished at all the things they claimed were wrong with my puppy. He said "I never said that, nor did I send them any paperwork to indicate those conditions. Your dog is one of the healthiest I have ever seen." Trupanion looks good on paper but I will never recommend them to anyone. I wish I had recorded the conversation where Matt accused me of insurance fraud. Trupanion would do well to get rid of him.

Literal life savers with a true love for pets
I shopped around and decided True Panion best fit my needs financially and services offered. I bought True Panion insurance with intention of any medical complications with a new puppy.two years into my pet sheepadoodles life He had a major medical condition which is still ongoing a year out and True Panion has been amazing, if I did not have True Panion, my dog Dexter would not be alive today. They are truly ,truly a lifesaver. I recommend them to anyone and everyone I talk to that has a pet. A veterinary specialist in Bozeman Montana decided to accept True Panion insurance at their practice because they saw how True Panion treated me with my pet and the ease of filing claims. True Panion to me and my dog Dex are a real blessing. Anytime I call day or night I always get a live USA person to talk to. Even during emergency’s they talked me through everything I needed to do over the phone while I was at the veterinarians pet hospital. I wish it was possible to give everyone at True Panion a hug and tell them thank you.( wish I could give them more stars)
