Wonderful company
We have had MetLife Pet insurance for 2 years now they have been extremely helpful and informative whenever I have any questions. Every person that assists me are extremely helpful and makes sure that I get my concerns addressed and completed. I plan to stay with them as long as we have our dog.

Used to be a good company now they just rob you
In response to Trupanion boilerplate and insincere response below: THEY HAVE A VOICE RECORDING WHERE THEY CLAIM I CONSENTED TO $76/Month premium for HEALTHY ONE YEAR OLD DOG, BUT REFUSE TO ALLOW ME TO HEAR RECORDEDING. So now I will sue to hear that recording. I agree with other reviewers - Trupanion used to be great. Now they are ZERO STARS. I had them with my second furbbaby and never had a problem. I got them again with my third kid. I just realized that AFTER THE FIRST MONTH, Trupanion raised my premium (automatic deduction) $25 WITHOUT NOTICE AND MY CONSENT. I only realized this when they sent me a notification they would be raising my premium AGAIN THIS YEAR. I thought they were raising it $30, but it's actually $10 because THEY ALREADY RAISED IT $25 WITHOUT MY KNOWLEDGE!!! They want me to pay $85/month. FOR A TWO YEAR OLD DOG. FOR NO OTHER REASON THAN GREED. We have NEVER FILED A CLAIM BEFORE. These people admit there is a PHONE RECORDING of our price conversation BUT REFUSE TO LET ME HEAR IT. I am considering suing them. By the way, this all started because of DR SMITH who wrote something in his medical report when he was 5 MONTHS OLD. He TWO AND WE'VE HAD NO ISSUES. DONT USE TRUPANION AND CATS AND DOGS IN LONG BEACH. PLEASE READ ALL BBB COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS COMPANY. Please be sure to call your bank to BLOCK payments if and when you cancel because THEY DELAY CANCELLATION AND COLLECT YOUR MONEY.

Unsustainable Cost with 3 Dogs
Easy claim submission process. Became too expensive for us to maintain with three dogs especially when you add up the rate per dog plus each deductible.

Healthy Paws is great
Healthy Paws has always been there for us. They have supported our pets and family through everything from ear infections to some scary surgeries. They have excellent customer service and their reps have been helpful and caring.

Ridiculous Claim Process - Customer Service a JOKE
I submitted a claim on my female dog who had a one-off urinary tract infection. She had one 5 years ago (literally 5 years ago). Nothing since. She received anti-biotics and healthy as ever. She randomly got another infection 5 years later. These jerks DENIED my claim for treatment reimbursement claiming this was a pre-existing condition because she had an infection FIVE YEARS AGO! INSANITY! Its like me getting the flu this year, but my medical insurance denies my doctor visit reimbursement because I had the flu 5 years ago. This is scum bag stuff. On top of this, the customer service robots are unhelpful and read from scripts. Its like talking to an uneducated 10 year old. There is also NO WAY to reach ANY of the folks who "review your claims." So trying to talk or get an understanding from anyone, is completely impossible. RUN - STAY AWAY! If your dog stubs their toe 5 years ago, then stubs it again this year, they will claim that the stubbed toe is a pre-existing condition and not help pay for treatment! HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE!!

As a senior it was important to me that I could obtain assistance with my first claim for my pooch. Everyone that assisted me over the phone was so nice and they made it easy! Explained everything and answered all of my questions. I look forward to developing a long term relationship with you. It gives me peace of mind knowing I can actually call on the phone.

Enrollment was super easy! I have already filed 2 claims and have received my reimbursement. They offer so much more than the other places we checked and even had added protection for my boy based on his breed he had some additional things covered.
