I was late to the pet insurance game
I was late to the pet insurance game. My dog was 7 when I got the policy. I knew from the beginning none of his pre existing conditions would be covered. I asked for a medical review when I got the policy so I would understand what wasn’t covered. I would recommend all pet parents get a medical review before your first claim. I never had any problems with embrace. Every time I called there employees were very polite and answered all of my qu. Unfortunately my dog ingested foreign material. He needed surgery. His surgery cost was 7k most vets make you pay the full upfront before they will even touch your dog. My dog made it threw surgery but died in recovery. I’m out my dog and a lot of money. Thank god for embrace. They covered almost 80% of the surgery my claim was settled in 4 days. It’s worth it alone for accidents and emergency.

Unless your dog is a puppy do not recommend
Embrace has been great for my fist dog that we got as a puppy they have covered everything. Completely different story with a dog we recently rescued who has medical issues. It took a couple days to get through to an agent to ask them questions about what would be covered. Usually the agents are really helpful and nice, this time it was like talking to a wall and having to pry information out of her. Definitely will continue coverage for my one dog but probably canceling the insurance on the other

No Compassion for seigniors, I couldn't make a payment due to 5 days…
I couldn't make a payment due to 5 days with no power due to the ice storm and now I am told my policy is cancelled, yet they took the late payment even though thy said that they wouldn't. How was I to make the payment when all power and cell phone service was out for 5 days ? Employees are robots with no compassion for seigniors.

Healthypaws is the best pet insurance! There is no comparison. All the other insurances pay for wellness visit/vaccinations and very little or nothing for medications and procedures for illness, disease and injury. Basically your premium payments are paying for wellness visits/ vaccines. What coverage do you get in return? Nothing! Healthypaws pays for 80% of any illness, disease or injury procedure and medications cost!!! And there is no yearly cap on how much they will pay! My dog needed very extensive surgery and hospitalization. Healthypaws reimbursed me within days of recieving the claim! They even contacted me to see how my dog was doing! Great customer service!!! I tell everyone to use Healthypaws and you should too!!!

I was given the opportunity to compare policies through Pawlicy Advisor. Once I chose the coverage and company I had a link to purchase Right there. The Prudent Pet website was easy to use and intuitive. It made it a no-hassle, quick, and inexpensive way to be a responsible pet owner.

Need quicker access to human customer support
Fetch does a great job reimbursing claims….however, if there are ANY issues, it is a little difficult to get the support needed in a timely or reasonably simple manner. For example, the chat support operates like a maze in a phone menu. Trying to discover the email my vet should use in order to provide additional documentation turns into a frustrating research project as I’m directed through a prescribed catalog of subjects and webpages to visit before finally being allowed to make contact with a human to ask a very simple question. Also, I’m human. I make mistakes. I don’t proofread well enough sometimes. Please make it easier to edit or even cancel a submitted claim. That was the reason for my first foray into your chatbot maze about two weeks ago.

this was an awful experience start to finish
this was an awful experience start to finish. I did not purchase with them. tried to apply for auto in AB and you cannot talk to a person. they make you fill out a very complex form, that doesn't even allow some fields to be completed. then I get a canned response saying form was missing things but not what specifically. I tried to chat to a real person and it was a giant waste of time. I persisted because I was told by someone that their rates were wayyy cheaper than competitors and now I know why. they keep saying it's 3-7 business days to give a quote once form is accepted. That's ridiculous as their competitors can give me a quote, multiple quotes, from different vendors, instantaneously while I'm on the phone with them.
