Easy claim process!
I have had multiple claims to submit recently and the process has been so simple! My emergency care visits were reimbursed very quickly which has eased a lot of burden. I’m so thankful for the prompt processing and great customer service. The app is great!

Not What You Think.
Signed up for this insurance for my dog several months ago because they stated that cover well pet exams and accidents. Well, that’s just what happened, my dog got his nail caught in a grate and it was torn off. Took him to the vet ER and it cost a pretty penny. Filed the claim , sent all the records of procedures and cost, as requested and they paid me $0.00. I pay my premium every month on time for my pup and this is what the coverage covers, or should I doesn’t cover? Guess I needed to read the fine fine print. Needless to say I will be looking for new pet insurance for my pup.

Nationwide helps! Carl is the best!
I spoke to a representative named Carl. He was friendly and was empathic about my issue as well as one's pet being a family member. He made clear that Nationwide is an insurance company who cares. There was a misanalysis on my claim and was not paid initially, and Carl went above and beyond to correct the process accordingly. Thank you, Carl! Companies need people like you who listens and sort through details instead of immediately turning down customers without investigating the issue.

Very Slow Claim Processing
The time that it takes to be reimbursed is unacceptable and inappropriate. It has been 30 days and I still have not received the payments I am owed. When you look online for status it only says "processing." After 2 weeks you receive an email apologizing for the delay but with no mention of when you will get paid. It does not seem right that they are unable to process basic claims in a reasonable amount of time. Very disappointing.

The price is decent and I have piece of mine after my deductible is paid that I have 90% of my vet bill paid when it comes to accidents and illnesses. Believe I’ve had a few and spot has been spot on. The claims are completely pretty fast as long as you get all the info in. There’s been a couple little things I haven’t been thrilled about but hopefully those issues will be cleared up. A text or phone call would be nice instead of a email because I don’t read my emails everyday, so I’m out of the loop most of the time. Just saying would be quicker for me to respond
