Fast filing of claims with excellent customer service. We used to have Spot but our finances changed and had to leave for a short while. As soon as we could we came back and I have no regrets! The people at Spot care as much about your pets as you do and are so kind and amazing to work with and sympathetic to your situation.

Their app and website made submitting claims easy. However, I spent $3,000 in 3 years on insurance plus $1,500 in vet bills, totaling $4,500. Trupanion covered $12 of the bills. When I called to ask why that was, the representative on the phone told me I could cancel and to have a good day before hanging up.

Pretend Runny Nose 5 Years Ago Means Asthma is a "Preexisting" Condition
I decided to get pet insurance after experiencing high vet bills when my oldest cat had kidney failure. Since getting this policy, Nationwide has rejected every single one of my claims because a vet 5 years ago added a visit note that my cat's nose was wet. Even when I escalated this issue, noting that my cat had never had asthma attacks before this year, Nationwide rejected my claims. Now, I've spent $286 paying for a policy and $800 paying for vet visits, lung x-rays, and medication. I do not recommend this insurance unless your pet has literally never seen a vet.

I’m not afraid of vet bills anymore
My dog Delilah is my baby, and her happiness is really important to me. Healthy Paws has covered almost every issue, things that are common enough in dogs that I would have assumed they’d be on the “not covered” list: ear infections, broken teeth, bloodwork, nausea… Submitting a claim could not be easier, and reimbursements come quickly! I think I’ve submitted 5 or 6 claims this year alone, and I haven’t had to appeal a single one. My dog is happy, and so am I.
Very Satisfied with Pets Best
I have had Pets Best insurance for a few years now covering my 2 dogs (currently aged 8 and 10). This year had been a rough year so far for both dogs. One has been diagnosed with a chronic illness and had an ER visit due to ingesting a foreign object. The other dog (who we adopted a year ago) was recently diagnosed with mammary adenocarcinoma and has had 2 surgeries so far and will be starting chemo in a few weeks. I have been submitting claims weekly for the past 2 months and though the wait time can be up to 4 weeks, I have received payments on all claims and they were directly deposited into my bank account. I have only had to call Pets Best once with questions and the customer service rep was very knowledgeable and helpful. My rates did go up significantly this year (as have my vet bills!) but they are in line with other pet insurance companies for the type of coverage I have and I believe it is worth it. I highly recommend Pets Best!
