A very wise and beneficial investment
I have had many dogs and cats throughout the years but never invested in insurance for them. I decided to enroll with Pumpkin Insurance for my Belgian Mallinois this past year because I had the means to do so. I am so grateful that I did it because my dog got very seriously ill. Pumpkin has been wonderful…they are absolutely a legitimate company. They have done exactly what they advertise. I couldn’t be more pleased.

Arrogance and unfair claim denial
Pets Best has decided that claim is for a pre-existing condition even though the vet herself has sent a letter stating that it was not. They think they know more than the vet who treated the dog.

Easy to enroll. Did not see the opportunity to add preventative coverage until after I paid the annual fee and received a pop-up that I can't enroll for preventative until next year.

Poor communication
Poor communication regarding when claims are going to be done, and have been waiting since before Labor Day for a call back from a manager regarding some payment issues in the past, along with how information given to one agent was not inputted in the system, when other agents confirmed it was in there causing overdraw on accounts and missed payments. Not happy with how I’ve been treated or handled since I brought these issues up at the end of August.
