This company is great! The only thing that I had a little bit of trouble with is when I would submit my invoices etc it always took so long and then they would reach out to the vet to ask for the same thing.. So it would often pend for a long period of time. My previous insurance just accepted the documents from the vet that I uploaded.

I’m so glad we have pet insurance and found this company. We’ve had to submit quite a few claims and haven’t had an issue and get our reimbursement within a few weeks right to our bank account.

MetLife is Amazing for Maltipoos!
This is our first pet insurance ever. We decided to choose this one because of great reviews and affordability comparing to others. First of all, I think it’s important you get the “Preventative care” add-on as it covers the regular visits, vaccines, and routine (including dental and neutering). After that make sure you download and register in the app. From there submission of the documents and the whole process for claims is a breeze! You just upload the receipt from the vet and that’s it! First time, you need to upload the 12-month doctor’s notes only once. Review of the claims is slightly longer than they say but we we don’t mind as every claim was approved and we were not bothered during the review process. If needed they will reach out to the vet directly. Our friends had other providers and always had issues but MetLife was always there for us and we will keep this insurance forever. Thank you, MetLife!

Spot Insurance makes it easy to submit…
Spot Insurance makes it easy to submit claims and get in touch with support via the website and the app! The reimbursement amounts you receive from claims makes it an obvious yes to get the insurance. My pet's dashboard is easy to follow and we are so grateful we got the preventative care gold plan for our first kitten, it makes taking care of our fur baby easier!

my dog had a traumatic accident and Pumpkin handled my claim and took the worry out of my mind if it would be covered or not. If it’s an accident it’s covered. Unfortunately my dog passed away. They followed through and canceled the policy without me having to worry about it during a very difficult time. I’m glad I picked them and I would definitely use them in the future. Thanks Pumpkin

Excellent choice for you and your pet!
Very easy website to upload claims and review. Phone customer service agents have always promptly answered my calls and tended to my questions. Pay out time is very reasonable. Competitive rates with exceptional service. My first time getting pet insurance. I'm very happy and would highly recommend them to others!

Confusing about "pre-existing conditions"
The coverage in writing is good but we were denied an almost $800 emergency vet bill because they say it is a "pre-existing condition". Normally that would be an ok explanation for me since we did go to the emergency vet once before we had this coverage for a similar episode. The confusing part is that they are covering the $200 bill for the follow-up at our normal vet. I'm not sure why the follow-up appointment does not count as a pre-existing condition but the initial emergency visit does. I think they should be more detailed and explicit in what counts as coverage and what they consider to be a pre-existing condition.
