Total scammers AVOID

Total scammers. Never made a claim or changed my policy and they almost doubled it in less than 2 years. When I asked them why, they basically said that because I was with them for awhile they increased my rates. Then when I cancelled, they charged me almost a full month cancellation penalty.

You should sign up if you like hidden charges and 40% increase per year.

I had the policy for 5 years and accepting the 40% increase per year. The last straw was I moved across town (going to the same vet) and they claimed they had to increase my policy another 30%. So my policy basically doubled in price. Please do the math before you sign up for this scam. My premium per year would be around $900 and the related deductible is $750, so my out of pocket expense is $1,650. I might as well just pay the $1,650 directly to the vet. And remember depending on your plan not everything will be covered so you’d have to pay excessively to Embrace and then still need to compensate your vet. Over the course of five years I made ONE claim and it didn’t even exceed the deductible. It was the biggest rip off of my life. Please think twice before you sign up.

So glad I invested in pet insurance for my dog. The process to submit a claim is pretty easy and you can even do it from your phone! The payment was super fast and I’m glad my little guy is covered and I don’t have to worry.

The goal is not pay for your pet when you need it

Embrace isn't worth the money. Especially the lovely $40 increase in 2024. Their only goal is to NOT pay out anything. Better off just paying out of pocket. I am on my second year with them and submitted my first pre-approval claim and they covered a small a portion and said no to the rest. Keep your monthly premiums in your pocket instead. You could save that up and use that to pay out of pocket. More beneficial than this sham of pet insurance company. STAY AWAY FROM THEM!!

Ear infection = denied claims

My puppy was found to have an ear infection at her vet check right after we bought her. Even though the vet stated this was likely from getting dirty water in her ear from a bath Figo will not cover any allergy or skin issues that developed several months later. I purchased Figo when the puppy was 3-4 months old . The ear infection occurred at at 2 1/2 months. I appealed twice but will not receive coverage for skin or allergy issues. I’m mostly disappointed because the vet stated the ear Infection is not related to my dogs allergy issues. Costco usually has very good products. I think Figo found a loophole and is able to refuse coverage to save themselves money.
