Deductible Process Purposefully Vague/Limiting
Put in over $6000 in monthly payments and every time I submit a claim for the same exact issue (my dog has pruritis and required surgery) it gets added as a 'new condition' and thus never hitting their $1000 deductible per condition. I had to appeal twice and essentially beg a customer service agent to get $200 back on a surgery for the condition. The claim process basically has you submit receipts from the vet and then you have space for 1-2 sentence explanation. If the reviewers disagree, the claim is denied citing a lack of evidence. What a ridiculous scam. The last one I had was my dog had an infection after the surgery, directly relating to the surgery, but it's not related to the surgery according to Trupanion. The vet explicitly had us do tests because of the recent surgery. THEY DO DEDUCTIBLES LIKE THIS FOR A REASON.

I’ve been using Met Life for my cat’s coverage, and I’m genuinely impressed. The claims process has been consistently fast—each time I’ve submitted a claim, I’ve received updates and reimbursements much quicker than expected. Customer Service
I’ve been trying to contact them and accessing their website for over a week. Nothing. Keep getting bounced back to log in screen. Tried calling no answer. On face book stated they are doing updated maintence. Taking over a week? Piss poor. Can’t even answer the phone when you call? There is NO quality customer service here. Will be looking for new insurance company for my dog. Will ask my vet who they recommend.

Peace of mind
Having Pumpkin Insurance is very helpful, knowing that most of my cats appointments are covered. The cost of everything is going up, and it’s nice to know I have a cushion, in case my cat needs more than a checkup!
