Is kennel cough really a preexisting condition
Up until this point Embrace has been great. My dog got kennel cough from daycare and the claim was denied because back in December, before we adopted her and before the policy took effect, she was diagnosed with an upper respiratory infection. They are claiming the Kennel Cough is a preexisting condition because it “could have been kennel cough” back in December. It’s maddening that I’m even in this boat given that … wait for it … KENNEL COUGH IS NOT A PREEXISTING CONDITION!!!! UPDATE: Sometimes it’s better to not reply to your patrons. Citing the policy and getting defensive is not a good look. Instead perhaps look at options you can provide your customers to potentially avoid situations like mine. Just a thought!

They closed my claim the first time…
They closed my claim the first time saying they didn't receive all of the documents without reaching back out to me. Then reopened it after I questioned it but didn't pay all of it. Will be shopping for new insurance.

Great Coverage & Quick Reimbursement
My dog had a large growth on his hind leg that was removed and analyzed to determine if it was benign or not. It was easy to start a new claim on the app and submit the itemized paid invoice for the procedure after it was done. The determination for what would be covered only took 5 business days. The reimbursement was direct deposited into my bank account only 7 business days after the claim submission. Spot worked very quickly for me and fairly covered everything that should have been covered. No run around, hassles or hang ups were presented to me for this claim. I’m very happy with Spots coverage and speed to reimbursement. Also, the growth on my dog’s leg was diagnosed benign, so that was great news. Thank you Spot!
