We submitted several claims for our cat when she suddenly got sick, and they were all processed within 2 weeks with everything covered as expected. These were big bills too, so I expected them to have questions or get nitpicky about the coverage or push back on something, but I didn't get any of that. I submitted the invoice to their portal and said what it was for, and then 2 weeks later they said it was approved and they sent the money through direct deposit. We did get like 3 "inpatient exam fee" charges from the vet hospital during an overnight stay, which I didn't quite understand. I had opted out of coverage for exam fees to lower the deductible, so that was a bit annoying, but I couldn't be mad since it was my choice. More something to look out for than a true complaint. My only real complaint is that last year when our plan renewed in December, our deductible basically doubled, and they didn't offer any real explanation as to why that happened. I did hear some rumblings in the news about the pet insurance market being inflated but I didn't receive anything official from them on that. Overall though I am super glad we had insurance, even with the highest deductible, fewest optional coverages and lowest coinsurance rate we paid around 1/3 what we would have without it. And they even sent a nice condolences message when our cat passed, which was kind of them.
