the hoops you have to jump through regarding medical records and the lack of communication other than emails saying claims are pending history review are very annoying. I've had 2 other pet insurance companies neither did what embrace is doing to process a claim. I hate changing again at this point but very disappointing customer relations and service.

I've ensured my pets with them for years and they have been reasonable mostly. I did have to file an appeal on a claim that was rejected multiple times. I did finally receive refunds. The process requires resilience, patience and persistence from the customers. It does seem the processing team doesn't want to or are trained not to investigate on complicated claims but to reject them by coding them as disqualified items, if you want your refund you need to be patient and not give up on trying.

Have always been very helpful and willing to take care of claims. I'm not one to usually leave reviews on companies but I also work in insurance so I'm very familiar with companies. Pumpkin is one of the better ones I've seen. Highly recommend!

Thankful for pumpkin
I'm super glad to have pet insurance, my experience with Pumpkin has been great. I've submitted two claims in my time with them and both have been reviewed and reimbursed basically immediately. My cat recently had a urinary blockage from bladder stones, something I wasn't expecting since she's a girl, and when the vet told me she needed surgery it was a no brainer. She said we could try a lower cost option, but it would have been gradual, not guaranteed to work, and my girl would've kept suffering till it worked, and I'm so glad I have Pumpkin so I didn't even have to consider that option. I wanted whatever got her feeling better faster, so we went with surgery, and now she's on the mend and I've still got money in my bank account. Highly recommend!
