Fetch Pet Insurance is one of the best in the list. The amounts paid for it is reasonable and the company is easy to work with.

Easy to create claims
Easy to create claims, reasonably priced. Payment of claims is slow and would be great if changes could be made so that Payment is received within 20 days. Otherwise, a great experience over the past couple years.

The staff are compassionate and proactive on all levels. We entrusted three of our fur babies to them and they have treated them and us very well. We highly recommend them all.

I liked that we got reimbursed for part of our claim. It went directly into our checking account and that was good. I did not understand that Embrace would not cover any exam. I thought they were referring to an annual exam or a wellness exam, not an emergency exam. This doesn't seem right.

Would give a lower score if I could.
Would give a lower score if I could. They made health assumptions for my dog (claimed my dog has cancer, which he was never diagnosed with, and is actually in extremely good health according to my vet), and were going to have me go through hoops to appeal to see if my dog would even get actual coverage. Given that it took a month or more to process normal claims, I imagine they would have had me paying my monthly fee for at least one or to more months while my appeal went through. On top of that, I had to take my dog to urgent care--he ingested something on a camping trip. I submitted a claim for this... Embrace said that they would need to put the claim on a temporary hold UNTIL NEXT YEAR, because they weren't convinced it wasn't a pre-existing condition. Never again will I ever do anything with this company again. It's more cost efficient to put in monthly amounts into a savings account for health needs for my pets.

Communication Problems Between Pets Best & Vet
I’ve heard great things about Pets Best and I really want to love it too, but it’s not been so great for me. Submitting claims is fairly simple (a little confusing at first, but they give feedback for missed documents and it’s pretty easy to update claims.) My biggest gripe is how long my claims are taking to be processed. I had to euthanize my cat in June. Pets Best took until the end of August, after 2 months of “we apologize for the delay- there’s nothing you need to do on your end” emails, to finally let me know they couldn’t reach one of the vets on my cat’s care team. They were, however, able to contact the mobile vet/company who actually did the euthanasia so I feel very frustrated that this claim hasn’t been processed and is now in limbo just because they couldn’t reach my cat’s primary vet (who didn’t do any part of the euthanasia.) It’s very painful to have to keep going through the muck to get a now-deceased loved one’s claims processed. It’s also very difficult to reach a person on the phone and it’s completely impossible to remove an insured pet through the app or website. There’s a chat feature that doesn’t work. It will never let you talk to a person and it will just tell you to go to the app or website. I was also under the impression I would be reimbursed for the prorated policy date, but to my knowledge I have not been.
