As a vet myself
As a vet myself, I chose Embrace due to quick returns for my clients. This was 7 years ago. I am sad to say that every claim is now picked apart and it takes over a month to get reimbursement. Recently our two pups each had claims and have been held up due to "lack of history." If they would look at the pet's age, they would know they have everything from the start. Annoying. Appreciate dental coverage. Don't appreciate not paying for OTC products that are recommended by the vet. Sends the clients out of the vet clinic and straight to Chewy. Not a great way to support your vets.

When I send in my claims
When I send in my claims, Embrace Pet Insurance are always quick to respond with repaying me for the money I spent on my dog. They also contacted my Vet by email to request information they needed. I received an email letting me know about this and I did need to do anything. This was great for me, because it saved me time not having to take care of it myself. Embrace Pet Insurance is the best.

Claim denied on vague terms
Embrace had to stretch very far to avoid paying my claim. The very broad and very vague definition of dermatological conditions was used to prevent paying for cyst removal surgery on my dog. A rash voided a claim for surgery. I ended up paying over $700, and they were not there when I needed them most. I canceled.

Pets Best has served us well
Pets Best has served us well. Our pup has bad allergies so we visit the vet a lot. I feel their reimbursements are very reasonable. The workflow is simple to upload invoices and turn around time is pretty good too.

Ease of communication
I love the ability to contact a vet by phone for advice. My pup is active and has had 2 episodes with foxtails. Spot is helpful and responsive. Easy to work with. This is my first experience with pet insurance and am happy so far.

Smooth and painless
Smooth and painless I keep expecting there to be a catch, but the submission process is remarkably simple and they have approved everything other than a few items that I fully agree with. I'm accustomed to insurance denying things randomly, so I'm always nervous when submitting and reviewing the results, but so far Pets Best has accepted everything I feel they should.
