Pet Insurance Isn't Worth It!

I signed my 15-month old Havanese up a year ago. Since then I've submitted 3 invoices from my vet. Not only did I not get any money back, they didn't even apply toward the deductible. To top it off, I just received a notice that his premium was going up by around 30%. I always thought pet insurance was a racket. Now I know for sure. You're much better off setting some money aside each month for when your dog gets old and starts having medical issues.

Application closed after months of no responses from Nationwide

I completed the application 1/9 and my last message was received 1/12 with a response, an automated message 1/29 with response and documents, and additional attempts for a response have been made 3/30, 4/13 and 4/20. I was then notified after multiple attempts for a response that my application was closed. "Our records indicate Wink's application 10303519 was automatically closed on 03/25/2026 due to waiting for additional medical records. Unfortunately, the additional medical records were received on 04/13/2026. Which was after the application was closed." My response: The request for additional records was responded to via fax and email within hours of the request. It was sent on 1/12 at 1:32, and again when no response was heard on 1:28. They were sent via my personal work email as well as the hospital email. All of my contact information of emails, phone number and home address has been provided and multiple attempts for contact made, I am disheartened that this is how I find out that the application was closed after all of this time and information was sent the same day. My dog has a policy and I have received communications for his without any error. We recommend your services to our clients at our hospital, and this is concerning how this was handled.

Price Hike for 6 yr old Toy Poodle with 1 claim in 2021

The price for my 6 year old toy poodle who has only filed a claim once in 2021 just went from $44 per month to $76 per month and all she said was "The Veterinarian's in your community have increased their rates." I have my two other poodles with Trupanion and there has not been a rate increase. I had to keep my male with Embrace so they cover his knee that was injured in 2021. Now I'm stuck with them. Also, that is with a $1250 deductible. Ridiculous!

Fetch makes me wretch

When the emergency came after my dog was wounded on a field, fetch denied my claim. I had pictures, witnesses a reputable vet, but fetch used some obscure loophole with "an extra tech present for surgery" to deny my claim. It was $2000. Done paying them for nothing. This company only wants your money, this is a scam
