After our conversation, I spoke with my wife and we decided to sign up for Trupanion pet insurance. Thank you to Aaron. As I hope we never need to use our pet insurance, I truly believe that if we do need to use our pet insurance, Trupanion will be there for us.

We initially were going for a different plan
We initially were going for a different company offering a lower monthly premium, however, it also then had limits on what amounts they would contribute towards treatments. We then made an appointment with a new vet (our old one went out of business) who recommended trupanion, touting its policy of no limits, and full coverage of any emergency. The immediate 30 day coverage was completed by the receptionist before we left the vet, and I completed the full coverage by phone. All was explained to me in detail, allowing me to choose which deductible amount was good for us, and now all is in place and our four year old 'Ashton' can enjoy a long and happy life.

My beautiful baby
My beautiful baby, Moneypenny (10) had just visited my vet for a possible neck injury. She was sent home with A LOT of medication. She had a reaction and started vomiting and pooping blood! I took her to the emergency vet and she went to ICU for a few days then discharged. But, immediately it started happening again! Two more days ICU. Nearly $3k total in vet bills. Healthy Paws covered all the agreed procedures and medication. This is her fourth time with a $1000+ vet bill and they have come through with reimbursement within 72 hours of claim submission every time! They even emailed to ask how she’s doing. I’ll gladly keep paying!
