Because you are true to the policy, no hassles, and you process the bills and pay the hospital within minutes, which allows me to pay the remainder of the bill on site before I leave. Very convenient! Milo has Cushing’s syndrome, which requires lots of blood diagnostics and medication for the remainder of his life. Trupanion will cover 90% of all costs related to this disease. I’m thankful and happy that I have Trupanion, and will recommend to others. Best, John Nacke and Milo, the Maltese.

Pets Best has been wonderful. They process claims quickly and are very responsive. The coverage also is good. The claim process is very easy.

I canned recommended MetLife Pet insurance
I cannot recommend MetLife Pet insurance. Poor service, claim review with no attention to detail, non-existent communication in case of issues with claims. Claim department doesn’t answer questions sent by email. Trying to get a hold of a representative gets you only to general customer support who can’t help with claims to resolve an issue. MetLife is good at deducting your premiums but very poor in holding up their end of the bargain when you submit a claim.

Impersonal signup, but good coverage & fast payments
The sign-up process is very impersonal; at first, I tried to give my new pet contract to the same salesperson who had helped me with my other dog's policy, hoping she would earn commission. I didn't hear back from her and lost a few days, so I wound up having to wait 30 days for insurance to kick in because I didn't sign up by a certain date although I had tried to sign on early and I had tried reward the saleswoman for helping look after my dogs. When I eventually heard back (in the meantime, I signed on with whoever answered the phone when I realized that the other person might never respond), she said they didn't get commission, which is likely why she took so long to reply; it became clear to me that she didn't care about helping me because there is 1) no incentive for her to care, and 2) they never intended to imply that you have a "relationship" with your insurance agent. However, beyond the impersonal sign-up process, I have nothing but positive things to say about my actual experience with renewals and claims processing. MetLife has kept my rates consistent, which has been wonderful. Their rates are competitive. Submitting a claim is very simple, and payment is fast. I had Embrace insurance in the past, and I would never go back to them.
