Best decision we have ever made!
Healthy Paws has been such a lifesaver for our French Bulldog, Mika! At only four months she broke her back leg, and ended up having to have two different surgeries to help repair it. It was such a long recovery process and there were many times we were not sure if she would be able to use her leg normally again. The total costs would have far exceeded most companies lifetime or yearly maximums and I don't know if many others would have covered the second surgery. But with Healthy Paws, we didn't ever have to worry about coverage and because of the great care, Mika has gained full recovery in her leg and has been running and playing like a normal pup for 2 years! Healthy Paws is truly the best - the value and customer service are unbelievable, and they really care about our furry loved ones. We know we never have to think twice about getting Mika the best care possible because of Healthy Paws. I cannot say thank you enough!!

Wonderful financial safety net!!!!
Although we have always had pets(Cairn Terriers),we had never had pet insurance. Our new dog is a 2year old rescue terrier cross and we purchased insurance for her. It was one of best things I have done. It would be hard to rationalize spending over $3,000.00 on tests for a dog (although we already loved her) we have had for only 2months with any assurance of her being well.

Overall experience
I was an ASPCA pet insurance member for about 3 years with policies for my two dogs. The customer service was above and beyond my expectations. My very first experience with the woman I spoke to to set up my account was great. The website and claim forms are easy to navigate and use and the turn around time for reimbursement is relatively quick. My big problem was with the amount of money I was paying into the policy vs the amount of coverage I was getting. Not that I expected to be reimbursed 100% for claims, but it seems that every claim that was paid was exceptionally low. Unfortunately, I did not believe that I was "getting my money's worth" from my policies so that is the only reason why I canceled them.

6 month limit on claim submission??? Theives!
The 6 month limit on claims submission is absolutely ridiciculous considering how much I pay for premiums.

We received reimbursements exactly as we were expecting! Not only that, but we received a credit back to our account for the couple of premium payments that were drafted after our Zoe passed away from a malignant brain tumor -- without us asking! We also received a separate email extending condolences on the loss of our sweet Boston Terrier Zoe! Above and beyond is how I would describe your services! Thank you!

APPEARS TO BE A SCAM
I spent a great deal of time reviewing the different plans and purchased the Healthy Paws' 90%/$100 plan. The first day they quoted me $34.01 for my 3 year old 10-pound dog. The next day when I purchased the plan I was given a different quote, they ultimately charged my credit card $35.80. I purchased the plan because their website said I was getting a discount, but it actually was an increase. I had a friend purchase the plan with the same information from a different web browser and computer; his quote came up as $34.01. When he tried to purchase it again, the price increased to $35.80, then to $37.30. We took screenshots of each price change. I called Healthy Paws customer service and was told "a manager will call me back within 5 hours." I quickly spoke to another phone representative who said he didn't work there but took the "over-calls" and couldn't help me. Healthy Paws never returned my phone call so I cancelled the insurance plan.
