Blastomycosis Heroes

This might be my second review, but it is warranted. I have had Embrace for nearly 10 years. My dog was diagnosed with Blastomycosis in July and has had multiple emergencies over the 6 long months of treatment. I have been on the phone in tears with reps, who were patient and kind. All my claims have been processed rapidly and without issue. Prior to this, he's had a doggie ACL replacement, and numerous other issues - he's a lab and eats everything. I also have two cats that have adopted me - both bordering on feral - and one who is always getting himself into little troubles. The only denial I have had was because of his asthma diagnosis. They have been amazing throughout.

No Better Than The Rest

I chose Spot this time partially because they supposedly have better comprehensive and dental coverage than other companies. My dog has a fractured a tooth and may need a root canal to save it. I understand that the policy does not cover a root canal procedure, but now they tell me that they will not cover any expenses associated with it even though the exact same expenses (exam, x-rays and anesthesia) would be covered for an extraction. I plan on changing to a company I can trust!

Amazing Company

I have to come clean at the outset, I am an employee of Embrace for the last couple of months. I am not required to be a customer, although because they treat their employees well, we are offered subsidized insurance. Having been a dog owner and foster parent for much of my life, I feel a little silly that I’ve never had pet insurance, so with our employee incentive I joined. A few weeks in, my 10 month old puppy who uses impulse to guide his behavior tried to jump our fence to go visit his dog neighbor. He got stuck on one of the spires on the fence and cut himself, requiring surgery with stitches and the accompanying pain killers, antibiotics, and anti-inflammatory meds. I submitted the bill to Embrace as all other customers do. It was processed within 48 hours and I had a check within a week. No lengthy paperwork or calls, it was just that simple. I deal with health insurance companies all the time and was expecting the same chaotic experience, but it was nothing like that. This is really a fantastic company, an opinion I would posit whether or not I am employed by them!

It's been 2 months and I haven't received my check. I also was NOT reimbursed for the chip implant which was stated in the receipt and doctors notes.

Pets Best Worst Dog Insurance Company

I was a customer for PETS BEST Insurance for 8 years, paying a monthly fee of 98 dollars, every year we had one or two small claims and it took them up to two months to reimburse me. Well my dog turn 8 years old and I received a letter informing that the new dues had increased 200%, from 98 dollars to 305 dollars! The reason was Doctors fees and inflation! If that is not obscene I don't know what is! They force you to cancel your policy because your dog is gettin old and they don't want to cover it!, it is not profitable! I spent 9,408 dollars in 8 years with minimum claims, my dog is in great shape, but because his age and breed is not longer viable for them, they decided to increase the monthly fee to an unreasonable amount. Don't hire this company, find out another company that is not going to dump you because your dog is getting old! Shame on them!
