I really have loved having Spot pet insurance. Our little pup sometimes gets into things and we need to take her to urgent care. The process of submitting a claim and getting the money back has been pretty easy and always gets done in a timely manner!

This review is for the insurance, the vet has been awesome. I guess this is the wave of the future. They are proud of their AI service. Did I say Service? I am joking of course. I would rather "come back later when we are open". But they don't even mention that as an option. When you go online on a computer, they tell you to go on via your cell phone only. They won't help you on a computer. Everyone knows it's easier to download invoices and fill out forms via your cell phone. I can appreciate having it for an option but ONLY?. Oh and you can't put their app on your computer. I guess that makes sense since you can only interface with them via the phone anyway. Everything is designed to manage you so you do the work of filing. There is no one there to help. When you pick why you went to the vet, it has to match their preset names for why you went, and no free hand. So if you go in and your particular service was called something different or it was under a different filter - they won't accept it. They won't even evaluate it because the bot isn't "trained" to really help. and if you can't match up, you can't enter anything and they don't have anyone on line who can help. If you don't want to talk to someone, you're in the right place. I think I am going to find another insurance that's cheaper - so if I get bad service from a bot, I can at least feel better about how much it didn't cost me - for nothing.

I had a very positive experience with MetLife Pet Insurance. My dog's TPLO surgery claim was initially denied, but after I submitted an appeal with the complete veterinary records and supporting documentation, the claim was carefully reviewed and approved. MetLife reimbursed $3,797.82 for the covered surgery expenses. I appreciate that the appeal process was fair and based on the medical evidence. Throughout my experience, claims were processed efficiently, reimbursements were timely, and communication was clear. No insurance company is perfect, but I value fairness, attention to detail, and a willingness to thoroughly review the facts. That gave me confidence that my pet's claim received the consideration it deserved. I would recommend MetLife Pet Insurance based on my experience.
