Extremely Easy

I've had to make 2 claims for my dog in the past 15 months. Each time I simply went onto the Pets Best website, opened a new claim, uploaded the applicable document(s) from my vet, and hit submit....took all of about 5 minutes. A few days later I received an email from Pets Best notifying me of their decision, and how much money I would receive in reimbursement. Too easy.

Pet's Best Helped Me Save My Service Dog

Over the last year, I have had to deal with Copper Storage Disease with my 8-year-old yellow lab that is a service dog. She holds a special place in my heart and we have been a team for over 5 years. With her diagnosis came a lot of unknowns and treatment plans that were overwhelming. One thing I did not have to worry about was the bills. Submitting them to Pets Best was simple. And they paid according to the plan benefits. I am thankful for Pets Best and have recommended them to friends and family. Thank you Pets Best for being part of the care team that saved my service dog's life!

One of the most unethical business…

One of the most unethical business operations is this company. They do not honor their contract, come up with any excuses to deny significant claims, and operate criminally. They’ve denied all claims ! AVOID AT ALL COSTS. They invest heavily in marketing, but check out BBB complaints against them. Furthermore, they increase premiums up to 80% after one year. Such a fraudulent operation and behave criminally and violate contracts. They should be sued!!!!! Do your best and avoid the hype with their marketing and read their REAL reviews.

Saved my Bloating dog

"I was in the middle of no-where Kansas (Wallace) hunting pheasant when Leeloo started to act as if she was bloating. I have already lost two dogs in the past from bloat and knew the signs. Its a horrifying death. I called Swartz Animal Hospital in Colby which was about 50 minutes away. It was after hours but they said they would meet me at their office. I rushed her to Colby Kansas and they immediately took x-rays and verified she was bloating but luckily not yet a full twist. They rushed her into surgery and untwisted and pumped her stomach. If I had not gotten her there in time she would have died. So thankful to have had Pets Best insurance."

raising the payments monthly?!

how can I go from 170 to 240 to 260 in three months? Isn't the price for each pup supposed to stay the same? instead for 2 years now the prices have been going up at least ten dollars every month or so often. When will the price increases stop? i barely use my insurance.

This is a scam

I submitted my puppy's emergency vet claim on December 8, 2024, and since then, I have contacted MetLife daily, only to receive inconsistent answers regarding the status and processing time of my claim. Their app and website misleadingly state that processing takes 5 to 10 days, but it's clear that this is far from the truth, as I have received no updates after that period. My dog had a follow-up appointment and is due for another one, but I cannot afford this additional cost while MetLife holds $2,200 of my emergency funds. This situation is unacceptable, and I am deeply frustrated with what appears to be a scam. I am concerned that when they finally review my claim—likely in six months—they will deny it altogether. I expected better from this insurance, especially since I pay my premium automatically through my employer. At this point, my only option is to wait the official 30 days and then escalate this matter to the State of Michigan and pursue legal action if necessary.

I think Spot is very fair

I think Spot is very fair. The only problem I had was they would not reimburse me for prescription dog food which my dog needs for his pancreatitis.

I am very satisfied with Healthy paws…

I am very satisfied with Healthy paws pet insurance. My dog recently had major orthopedic surgery. I received reimbursement within 7 days of submitting my claim. They even sent me a follow-up email inquiring how my dog was doing post surgery. They are quick to respond to my questions and concerns. Healthy paws does not have a yearly or lifetime cap on reimbursement.
