Quick Claim Processing! No Complaints!

I've had Trupanion insurance on my two German Shorthaired Pointers since October, 2010. Before that we had PetFirst Insurance. I switched to Trupanion after I found out that with PetFirst illnesses/injuries filed in one policy year became pre-existing conditions (and thus were not covered) in subsequent policy years. I thought this was crazy! If my dog developed a chronic condition, under PetFirst Insurance, I would only get paid for claims filed in the first year of his illness. Therefore, I did a lot of research and switched to a Trupanion policy with no deductible. In July, 2011, Max developed a skin infection. We went to our regular vet several times and most recently to the dermatologist. All our claims were processed within 2 weeks (several within 1 week). Our most recent claim was for over $400 and Trupanion approved it without issue. When looking into insurance companies, do your homework. Trupanion does not cover routine care and vet office visit fees. However, these are small costs I can easily fit into my budget. Trupanion does cover diagnostics, medicines, surgeries, etc. These are the expensive things you buy insurance for. Therefore, I would recommend Trupanion for 3 main reasons. First, their policy is the best out there in terms of coverage. You get unlimited event/lifetime limits and coverage for most conditions. Additionally, you get coverage for chronic conditions (as long as the condition starts after you have the insurance). Second, the

Ulysses says thanks!

We have a one-year-old boxer/pit bull mix named Ulysses, who managed to get in a car accident and swallow part of a shoe in the same week! Our ASPCA insurance covered a portion of the claim, and they were very helpful and responsive. We saved many times over the premium last year. I only wish we'd signed up for a higher cap for coverage -- but that's our fault, not ASPCA! Highly recommended.

aspca pet ins

aspca pet ins has been great. they pay their claims promptly and they cover a full 80% of the vet bill. previously i had another pet insurance company that was always shortchanging me with scheduled reimbursements. many times i would get 50% or less coverage for vet bills in addition to their deductible. i have recommended aspca pet ins to many of my friends who are dog owners.

Trupanion Delivers What they Promose!

My lab, now at 7 started terrible itching and I could see he was destroying his skin. We took him to the vet, as I couldn't stand watching him so uncomfortable. The vet feels he has developed allergies, and suggested an allergy test. Didn't think twice about saying ' do whatever you need to do'. It was a $690 bill for testing and meds. We are still waiting for the results but within 2 days, I received an email, and 4 days later, received my check. I know Whatever it is, I don't have to worry about cost!

I'm a happy Customer

So far I have been with embrace for a couple of years and the customer service has been prompt as well as courteous. Both of my claims have been covered and without hassle. This is the only time I've ever had pet insurance and it's been a favorable experience. Thank you! I wish health insurance for humans was this easy. :-)

Bella needed surgery to repair one leg

The bones in one of Bella's legs did not line up properly after she injured herself. The surgeon had to brake the leg in one place, cut a wedge out of the bone and then reset the leg with the bones properly aligned

Quill emergency financial help

Thanks for offering accident insurance. With four dogs in the mountains, just having some of the costs of an emergency extraction of 30 or so porcupine quills from William's muzzle has helped a great deal. Good to know you'll be there for my pack.

Decent pet insurance that everyone should consider

With economy in its current state, it having Grim insured is one less worry. I believe if you have a pet you need to be able to pay for their care, for me ASPCA Pet Insurance is one of the ways I am able to do so. Grim has had bladder issues and recently had what the vet termed a FLUTD (Feline lower urinary tract disease) and possible UTI. When I submitted the claim to ASPCA Pet Insurance, they were prompt to let me know they received it. It took a couple of weeks for them to let me know that they need more information from the vet. I was not clear on what further information was needed and if it had been something I could have provided when I submitted my claim. I think those things could be better communicated. That being said, they let me know when they received the information from my vet then processed my claim within two weeks of that (it probably would not have taken that long if it had not been right around Christmas at this point [which is understandable that it would take extra time during the holidays]. Only one item of was not covered of the many items on our statement, which was the pill case treats, which is stated on their list of exclusions, everything else was covered at 80% of customary cost. Living in downtown DC, Grim's vet is the closest one to where we live, so what is considered customary and reasonable for our area is at times significantly lower than what we pay, but that is the norm for this area, and a choice we made about which vet
