Read the fine print!
Upon having my claim flatly denied for a dislocated kneecap on my 3 year old cat, I read the policy and see that patella subluxation is considered congenital and not covered, even though ours was due to an injury. My fault for not reading through everything before signing up!

Trupanion has been outstanding at a very difficult time, whenever I call I get a very kind and understanding individual on the phone, I would highly recommend them and have, the two veterinarian hospitals I have had to deal with in the last few weeks have said the same that trupanion is their number 1 pick for pet insurance also........thank you for making a very difficult time bearable.

good overage when you need it.
I have 3 rescue dogs. You never know when something will come up where veterinary care can become very expensive. With 3 dogs, I decided I couldn't afford not to have them insured. So far, I've used Trupanion for one of the dogs. She has an eye condition that requires an eye salve twice a day. A little tube of this salve is rather expensive, but am very pleased how much Trupanion reimburses me. It gives me peace of mind just knowing I have this insurance when I need it.

My dog got deep eye ulcer. Went to 2 vets before finally got referred to an eye surgeon who operated on my dog the next day - and also to have weekly checkup for at least 2 months. Trupanion was extremely efficient in processing claim, they covered all my expenses from all 3 vets and medications as well. I send them my receipts multiple times and every single time, got processed right away. Plus, they are soo courteous and professional when you talk to them on the phone.
