My first experience with Trupanion was a positive one. My Vet signed me up for first 30 day free trial and unfortunately I had to take advantage of it. As soon as I vet submitted a claim I received an email that it was under review. I would guess it was within 24 hours of submittion. My reimbursement check came shortly thereafter.

Tessa, out female shepherd collie crossshowed sudden symptoms such as walking into furniture, walls and doors and had very poor balance. She was not her usual self. We first had her assessed by our local veterinarian who said that she was blind in her left eye and half blind in her right eye. She was then assessed by a veterinary eye specialist who determined that her eyes were functioning but that she may have a brain tumor. She was then referred to a neurologist for further investigation. She required extensive medical intervention at great cost. After extensive medical tests it was determined that she had meningitis-encephalitis. She was treated and appears to be on the road to recovery but will require further intervention to maintain her health and well being. We submitted our claims to Trupanion and we were surprised at how quickly they responded to our clain in such a professional manner. There was no delay and no fuss. We will recommend Trupanion to all our friends who have pets. Thanks again Trupanion. You have saved us a lot of worry and stress.
