Dependable as always
I am so grateful to have Embrace as my pet insurance provider. As much as I hate to see my puppies get sick; Embrace has always completed my many claims in a timely manner. They are very knowledgeable and always follow up.

Awesome friendly, prompt, service
We had an unfortunate situation with our dog, where she went off her food and was throwing up. We had to take her to the vets and get x-rays and all sorts of costly stuff. The fact that Healthy Paws covers 90% of the treatment costs makes it a lot easier to make the decision on whether to have the x-rays and tests. When I contacted Healthy Paws they were nothing but caring and kind. They helped us through the process and we had no trouble in making our claim. The cheque came through within days. I always knew that Healthy Paws was excellent, but it's not until you're actually in the situation where you need them that you really find out how good they truly are.

Trupanions and My First Claim
First time that my pet got sick it cost me over 900 dollars, ouch! He is a rescue cat I had for about 6 months. Well I turned my claim the following Monday got a email saying they received it and would have it processed within a day. Next day late morning Trupanion sent me another email with an approval for services and that my coverage would reimburse me 90%. WOW! Quick and fast service which is good after spending that kind of money even though my cat is well worth everything.

Took forever to get my claim back
The whole point of insurance is to have that comfort to know that in an emergency, you know you are covered (minus your deductible). Our dog ate something that really messed her up in the worst way. 24hrs of witholding food was still resulting in her vomiting water. So we took her to the emergency vet (since it was evening). She was very dehydrated and exhausted but ok, they sent her on her way and we thought, good thing we have insurance! Well, we submitted the claim within two days after her visit 2-6-12, and it took until 03-21-12 to finally get to our claim and let us know the coverage of our dog. A really long time for us to have to shell out our own money and wait, but in the end they came through.

Accessibility
Embrace is very easy to file a claim with. I keep a form in my office and bring it with me to each vet's visit. However, I do feel I pay a substantial amount to have this insurance, yet it doesn't cover everything such as medicine they give the pet at the vet's office, or dental problems. Not this particular claim, for my dog's corneal abrasion, but my dog had a bleeding from her sinus tract and I took her to the vet and it was not covered as they "suspected" it was a tooth problem. I just don't think that is right! She still had a problem and it wasn't even determined if it was from her tooth as she didn't have it pulled. It could have just been an abscess
