FABULOUS!
After much research we recently chose Healthy Paws for our two new kittens, Cagney and Lacey. They are approx 6 mos now and we have just had them for 2 mos when Cagney woke up one morning 2 weeks ago very lethargic and hardly able to open her eyes. We were so worried it could be the worse, knowing that kitties can deteriorate so quickly. Our vet did a bunch of tests; gave her injectable antibiotics, and hydrated her. Turned out to be bacterial microplasma. She is still on her meds and vastly improving. This bill was $1000 and Healthy Paws is paying $753, which is 90% of bill after deducting the physical exam fee and our deductible. This company could not have been better. When I called the first day we took Cagney to the vet, the person actually asked me how she was doing as she walked me through what I needed to do for a first claim. True to their word we received the email yesterday stating what they were paying, well within the 7-10 days for a first claim. The email even asks how Cagney is doing. You don't get much better than this: great coverage and nice, caring and supportive people!!!! Just wish we could afford it for our two older cats now 15 and 17!

They accept alternative healthcare!
Though there are some growing pains while the staff learns more about Homeopathy, I appreciate that this company accepts alternative veterinary care. My vet integrates Eastern and Western care in her practice and it is so nice that I have coverage for both. Claims are handled very quickly and I can always reach a real human being with questions!!I am hopeful that the staff will become more fluent in more alternate modalities; but they are certainly leading the way in veterinary insurance as it is.

Awesome friendly, prompt, service
We had an unfortunate situation with our dog, where she went off her food and was throwing up. We had to take her to the vets and get x-rays and all sorts of costly stuff. The fact that Healthy Paws covers 90% of the treatment costs makes it a lot easier to make the decision on whether to have the x-rays and tests. When I contacted Healthy Paws they were nothing but caring and kind. They helped us through the process and we had no trouble in making our claim. The cheque came through within days. I always knew that Healthy Paws was excellent, but it's not until you're actually in the situation where you need them that you really find out how good they truly are.

Trupanions and My First Claim

Well I turned my claim the following Monday got a email saying they received it and would have it processed within a day. Next day late morning Trupanion sent me another email with an approval for services and that my coverage would reimburse me 90%. WOW! Quick and fast service which is good after spending that kind of money even though my cat is well worth everything.
