Fast & Efficient

I submitted a claim for the vaccinations reimbursement and dental care and received the check within weeks. The customer service is impeccable and they always follow up. Excellent!

Fantastic

Staff is always on top of letting you know what is going on even if its just a quick email to let you know that they are a bit backlogged with reviewing cases. Staff is quick to email back with answers to any questions you have.

Good service, a few issues

While I appreciate having the insurance for my dog - and I really do - I have some issues. One is the customer service: they're mostly good, but they're also a bit rude. The other, very key issue, I have is their definition of a pre-existing condition. By their definition a pre-existing condition is something that occurred in any billing year that is not this year. So, for example, our dog has epilepsy. Her first seizure was in 2010. She was officially diagnosed in 2011. Because her first seizure was in a previous billing cycle, the epilepsy counts as a pre-existing condition and they won't cover ANYTHING related to the epilepsy - and that includes the daily dose of phenobarbital she takes. I really like what they're doing, and I really hate their idea of what is pre-existing. That said, they're the best pet insurance out there.

They care about our pets...

Abby, my dog, was found to have inflammatory bowel disease. It took many tests and vet visits and Embrace helped Abby and I get through all of this so Abby is a happy and vibrate dog now! Without an excellent primary care vet and a internal medicine specialist's care, Abby's disease wouldn't be found but that takes resources and Embrace was there to help us do that. I have been very happy with their caring messages and financial reimbursement for her care. Couldn't have done it without them! Abby says thank you too!

Awesome - so glad I got it!!!

I signed up for Healthy Paws this past January for my dog, Tre. I am so glad I did. In late March, he was acting funny. Running around and trying to sit down, but couldn't. Then he would try to lay down and would get right back up. He was pacing and panting extremely hard. Since it was after hours, my regular vet was closed. We headed straight for the E-Vet. They did a physical exam which showed there was definite abdominal pain. After xrays & bloodwork came back normal, he stayed overnight so they could monitor him. An ultrasound in the morning also came back normal. Honestly, my whole experience was scary, but the fact that I didn't have to worry about the amount it was going to be was a huge relief. The fact that they sent a follow up email a week later asking how my pup was doing was a nice personal touch!

Excellent company, timely re-imbursement.

Our bulldog puppy was having continual bladder problems (crystals to be exact). It was so bad she ended up going to the Ontario Veterinary College. Trupanion was fantastic! They paid every insurable claim within days of the claim being made.
