PetSecure lied to us. Don't waste your time.
In a previous job, I actually promoted PetSecure as a part of my position. I now sincerely regret that. A week or two after we filed a claim for the first time, they sent us a letter claiming they had to raise our premiums due to "the new region of Canada we were in", but we had never moved. It wasn't just an innocent error, either. We had made it known to them when we registered that my fiance and I lived separately, but shared custody of our dog. When they asked for my address on the claim form instead of his, they used that as a pretext to change our premiums-- and my address was in the very the same city, only 25 minutes away from his! The "region of Canada" excuse was clearly garbage. When we called and straightened this out (in a very polite manner), they followed up by sending a letter informing us that our coverage no longer included six common health problems! Unbelievable. Bottom line, we were penalized for making a claim the very first time we filed. We're going to be changing our insurance, not because we were underwritten, but because of the deceptive way in which they tried to make more money off of us first, under false pretenses. Don't waste your time or money.

AWESOME COMPANY!!!
I have been a long time Embrace customer and unfortunately have had to use my policy on a number of occasions. From cancer with my goldens to my Dane Rex bloating, Embrace has never let me down. I just recently lost my 3 legged Dane "Hope" after a long hospital stay. Embrace covered everything as expected. Even covered the doctor who came to the house to to accupuncture. I have all 4 of my dogs covered by Embrace. They are the best!!!

Healthy Paws: Fast, Fair, and Pleasant
Our 8 month old German Shepherd Phoenix exhibited a limping in her left front leg. We took her to the vet where “pano” was indicated but while investigating that issue the vet discovered that the two lymph nodes on either side of her lower throat were greatly enlarged. Yikes!!!! He did a biopsy of one of the nodes along with extensive blood tests to try to find the cause. At this point we are not sure of the cause but have ruled out several of the more serious possibilities. The total vet bill so far is $1068.08. I submitted documentation for the claim by email on Monday 9/10. That same day, Healthy Paws went to work on the claim, asking for some additional vet notes directly from the vet. The vet supplied the notes on Tuesday 9/11 at which time I got an email from Healthy Paws indicating that the information was complete and the claim was being processed. On Thursday 9/13 I received notification from Healthy Paws that the claim had been processed in an email which included the explanation of benefits. Notice that the claim was already processed on day 4. So they are fast, but did they pay what the policy said would be paid? Yes, to the penny. My policy has an annual $250 deductible with 90% coverage. NOT covered is the exam fee of $36.50 (as stated in the policy), and so the calculation went as .9*(1068.08 – 36.50) – 250 = $678.42. So they are fast, pay what they are supposed to pay, but are they pleasant to work with? Yes, definitely pleasant. I have communicate

Healthy Paws ...... Superb Service
After reviewing other pet insurance companies,we decided on Healthy Paws for our Saint Bernard.Even over what our vet recommended. What a great choice we made.simply the BEST. On 09/04/2012 we took our Saint to the vet for an injured wrist and a diarrhea problem. Within an hour of getting home from the vet's we received a e-mail from Healthy Paws saying they had received our claim.2 hours later, another e-mail from Healthy Paws saying the claim was approved.Within 3 days we received the check for our claim.

I have a bunch of past claims, and they have been helpful processing each one, and emailing me what is going on with each claim. They have been very helpful and quick with their responses.

Happy to not worry
My Duchshund, 8 years old had some back injury and a hernia surgery. I was so relieved to know that I can treat her without worry. It is pace of mind to know that I have her covered and that I can go to the vet anytime she needs. Claims have been processes in a timely fashion without any headaches or extra work from my part.I am very happy with this insurance and I recommended it to all other pet owners.

Unbelievable Customer Service
Healthy Paws pet insurance has done an amazing job with handling my claim and sending me my reimbursement check. I received my check in 3 days. They even checked on my dog, Ruby, to make sure she's okay.

Nor Worth the Money
I have had ASPCA Pet Insurance for 7 years. My dog is 13 and the older she gets the more health problems she has and some of them are ongoing conditions. ASPCA will only pay for one disease and one occurrence. She had a blood test 2 years ago which showed elevated levels in her liver, she never had any treatment or diagnosed with liver problems. However, since her levels were elevated they will never pay for another blood test nor matter what the reason. She also showed a mitral valve problem two years ago but no treatment or medicine required. However, since she was diagnosed with the mitral valve problem they will not pay for any treatment of Congestive Heart Failure and the chronic Bronchitis she now has. She has never been diagnosed or treated for Congestive Heart Failure or Chronic Bronchitis before, however, ASPCA will not cover either of these illnesses or treatments. They will not cover any of her medications. So if your dog or cat has a thyroid problem which cannot be cured forget it they will pay once but never pay for the meds again. I have the proof. Don't buy this insurance they will leave you high and dry.
