Emrace Rocks!
What I like best is the consistent communication they keep during the process. I have only had one interaction with them so far, and so far, so good. I investigated prior to purchasing, and they were the most highly rated.

Excellent Service
Our 4 1/2 month old puppy was in the back yard and sustained a laceration to his paw. We took him to the vet on Sunday, on Monday they stitched him up, and on Saturday we received a reimbursement check from Healthy Paws. Not knowing if we had cleared the 15 day waiting period we called to speak with a representative. The representative was very helpful and informed us that we were covered and to have our veterinarian submit the claim form. The final touch was when we received an e-mail from the Claims Manager to inquire how our puppy was doing. The level of service we received from Healthy Paws exceeded our expectations.

Experiences & issures with ASPCA pet insurance
The dogs I currently have are the first of 8 previous dogs I've purchased insurance for. I've use the insurance for my Puggle puppy three times before she was 6 months old for gastro-intestional issues with medication. The first claim was large due to testing for the cause. It was a significant amount of money even after the deductable was applied. It took a total of 4 times of my Vet having to fax the medical records and me having to call three times before they could be found in your office. So it took almost 3 months for the claim to be completed. I was never contacted that there was a problem & only discovered it when I was notified that the claim had been denied because you didn't have the medical records. I'm on a limited budget and my vet is not willing to wait 3 months for their part of the payment. Needless to say this claim was not very satisfying and placed me in a very difficult position financially, which is what I hoped to avoid by purchasing the insurance. The other claims went smoothly and were paid within 3 weeks. Was this because I complained long & loud? I don't know, we'll see if/when I file amother claim. I am considering changing insurance providers, haven't made a decesion yet. I am going to recommend ASPCA to other pet owners only because there is no "we'll wait & see" choice.

Personal touch
While sometimes there is a lag in completing claims (this is rare) I am always kept updated on the processing of the claim. I appreciate knowing that my claims have not fallen into a black hole somewhere and that my claim will be processed. I always feel a personal touch with the claims folks at Embrace.

Great service but a bit misleading
Let it be known that even though the website says no medical history required to enroll. This part is true as they want your money. If you file a claim, you will need all your pets history from the time you got the pet. This is to protect the, from paying out claims for preexisting conditions, completely understandable. But I feel they should require this up front to avoid delays in processing and also denied claims. It took close to a month to complete claim because I had to go to several different vets and beg them to fax info to embrace. Vets are not fond of sharing their vet notes, note, i said vet notes, not just the receipts you get as a client. My claim was approved and I did receive my due amount in a timely manner after I got all the info faxed to them. Had I not been able to send them the vet info, my claim would not have approved and I would have been out the annual premium I paid for coverage. So be aware you need to request a medical review upfront otherwise you may be wasting your money if your pet has perexisting conditions. Overall I give them a 9. Would have been a 10 except for the pain of driving to old vets and getting info. Should of been told upfront.

Godd customer service
This was a wellness claim that also had illness on it. I faxed my claim in. The claim was split into two claims and processed quickly.I had to call once to check on a question I had about it and the staff was very freindly and helpful. I also emailed once to check on the claim 14 into it and received a quick response same day and told my check was in the mail. 4 days later I received the check.
