Payment was too low

While the service and turn around time for my claim was excellent I did not understand while a good chunk of the claim was not paid. I understand about the deductible but not the reduction of the submitted amounts. This is making me think twice if this insurance policy is really worth it.

My Yorkie (Diva) needed a Healthy paw! SMILE

Recently my Yorkie was accidentally hurt playing with another dog. She started to limp after jumping around in the yard. The vet provided xrays and gave us the bad news. Diva tore her ACL and MCL, she also needed a steel rod inserted. She went into surgery to recieve a new Healthy PAW! With the holidays around the corner we my family was already financially tight and a huge vet bill was coming. I dont know what we would have done with out Healthy Paw Insurance. The support was amazing and they checked up on Diva more then the vet. I really am thankful and enjoyed the emails from your amazing staff. Thank you for such a fast turn around and how easy it was to receive the check/claim. Diva is walking again!

Finally, an ins. company who reimburses

This is my 3rd pet insurance company and I am thrilled to have received a reimbursement check. The only thing I received from the other companies were excuses. Thank you for fulfilling your promises.

Bad service

I submitted three claims through the vet and so far they denied the claim. Sure my money's good and they take it. Once i summit the clsim i get a sorry letter. Just to remind you guys i am fully paid till mext month. This insurance just like to steal money from people and don't pay out. I am going to cancel this crappy insurance and find another one

Thank you, Embrace!

When our 12 year old girl fell seriously ill with pancreatitis, we were terrified. Our sweet girl barely survived -- the intensive care of several specialists, in partnership with her regular veterinarian, saved her life. I spent quite a bit of time researching pet insurance prior to enrolling Cleo in Embrace many years ago. I chose Embrace for their excellent reputation and their flexible, straightforward plan (I want to make health decisions with my veterinarians -- not my insurance company!). Thankfully, I did not have a single claim prior to this event -- but that made me all the more nervous. Would Embrace live up to their promises? Thankfully, yes, they did. Within a few weeks, our claim -- which, in its entirety, encompassed several trips to both a specialty and standard veterinary hospital -- was covered exactly as our plan detailed. We were reimbursed promptly, much to our relief. Here's where it gets even better: like most insurance policies, the policy only extends for one year. Embrace wasn't legally committed to renew her policy after the year expired. I called them to express this concern: would they drop her after we filed a notable claim? Though we are longtime, dedicated clients, she is, after all, 12 years old, and this was a significant claim. A kind service representative assured me that though they were not obligated to offer a renewal, they don't, as a company, believe in conducting business like that. The service representative recalled only

Unbelievably Easy

We have two cats and have had them insured with Trupanion since we got them and have had nothing but incredible support from Trupanion from the beginning. When we have to make a claim, their turn around time is very minimal, so we usually receive our cheque within a week or so. They are always around to answer any questions for us and give us fantastic service. I recommend them highly to any other pet owner/lovers.

Amazing Coverage!

My 6 month old german shepherd, Nylah got a hold of a bottle of ibuprofen. Unfortunately she injested 14 pills. Thankfully, I live close to our veterinary, we were able to get her there within 20 mins - just in that amount of time she was frothing at the mouth. The Veterinary immediately began the protocol for Ibuprofen Toxicity. Her baseline bloodwork showed that her kidney and liver levels were high in which the Veterinary explained that the ibuprofen had begun some damage. To help flush her organs Nylah was kept at the vet for 48 hrs on fluids along with gastroinstestinal medications. Nylah was released and her kidney and liver levels are back to normal. There is no guarantee no damage was done to her kidney/liver, but if there is it's very minimal. A month later and Nylah is back to her normal playful self. I am so thankful to my Veterinary and Embrace. Our bill was $1800.00, in which Embrace covered $1,087.00. Having four children w/one just starting college this was a huge relief.

This is why we get insurance

I consider insurance to be working the moment I can make healthcare decisions for my dog without worrying about 1. how much it will cost; and 2. how much effort it will take for it to actually cost that much. Any plan (such as VPI's) that has a reimbursement schedule (i.e. fixed limits for each illness/treatment category) gloriously fails (1) in my opinion. On both these counts, Healthy Paws has been working phenomenally well for me. I have a 90% coverage plan with a $250 annual deductible (no preventive care) for my 2 year old chihuahua mix. My monthly premium is a little under $30. The claim process is very simple. Print out a custom claim form (I have several printed out and at hand so I get the vet's office to fill it out after every appointment) and scan along with the invoices and email. Every single time, Healthy Paws has blown me away with how soon they processed the claim (usually under an hour). In my first year, I made several small claims but they did not go over the deductible, so I wasn't reimbursed. Sure, on the whole, I paid more out of pocket than I would have without insurance. But I understood the policy and what was excluded and knew fully well what to expect. Two weeks ago, my dog needed surgery for cherry eye, and, immediately after, needed an emergency vet visit when he had diarrhea and regurgitation and loss of appetite while recovering from his anesthesia. The bills were steep, but, in the midst of everything we went through, I'm gr
