I am a pet owner of a 3 1/2 year old english bulldog with a 1/4 mix pug, his name is Bernie. On my first visit with his new Vet they highly recommended pet insurance and had all the brochures so that I could decide, which I did and choose Trupanion, Thank God. Bernie just had TPLO surgery 3 weeks ago, he ruptured his left hind leg ligament. Recovery time will be about 8 - 12 weeks. I am so happy that I made the decision to carry insurance on him when he was just 6 months old, believe me it definitely paid off with his recent surgery and the customer service I have received from Trupanion has been painless and so professional and they truly care. I would highly recommend to anyone to make this choice as I did. Also, submitting my claim was so simple and receiving my reimbursement check within 2 weeks was amazing, it was easier than dealing with my own health Insurance carrier. Thank you Trupanion!!

The more claims, the less they will pay
I recently canceled insurarnce with Petsecure for one of my two dogs as it became uneconomical to keep paying, as they lowered the co-pay amount. The more claims the lower it gets, and if your dog has exclusions, they reword it so that they don't have to pay under your policy. They are always professional and claims are handled quickly, but if you need to use it, they eventually will make it worthless. You do need to keep on top of them and the things that they say they won't cover. They are an insurance company so of course it's about money and not paying out whenever they can

I am new to pet insurance world. I did not have pet insurance for my previous dog and am trying it out for my new puppy. So far it has been extremely easy and rewarding.Claims are addressed in a timely manner and the refund check arrives promptly. I have only dealt with wellness coverage thus far - no accident or illness. So far my experience with Embrace has been a positive one.

Last Summer my eldest cat Shubert developed hyperthyroidism, he required radioactive iodine, his care was several thousand dollars. I am so grateful I had the savings to cover it, however it was a wake up call for me. I have a total of 4 cats, all between 14-15 yrs. They have been healthy all their lives but they are aging and with aging come unexpected health issues. I decided to consider health ins. to assist me in the event of issue so that I could continue to give my cats the best possible care. The ASPCA has been helpful since day one. The customer support person set me up with a plan that was affordable and specific to each of my cats needs. Since signing up last Sept. I have had a couple of minor incidents, the claims process is simple, convienient, and fast. The claims process people are always kind, compassionate, and helpful. I feel they truly do care about me and my pets. They call and follow up to see how my cats are doing. It is a relief to me to have the ASPCA there if I need them. Thank you so much!

Headache
I have three cats they are all on embrace. So far it has been one thing after another with the preexisting claims. My cat went in for vomiting. They say it preexisting because it doctors notes she was vomiting before. i think that is BS because its like when you catch a virus or bacteria infection one year then catch it again its not preexisting it happens its symptom of something else. I understand if she had kidney failure or a heart condition. Another thing my cat is 13 and is not covered for illness she could live another ten years why not cover her.
