Consistently amazing customer service, human answers the phone immediately to talk about your non-human family member(s). Once we re-faxed the claim form, I had a response within 24 hours and a check in my mailbox within 3 days. The coverage really is at 90% and my pup gets amazing care without costing me my monthly rent. Love love love Trupanion!

Hassle-Free Reimbursement
Doggy had a sudden swelling bulge under his tongue. It didn't seem to bother him much, but it was abnormal. No apparent cause was identified and exploratory surgery was recommended. This is the first claim I have sought coverage with Trupanion. After the required deductible was met, coverage was at 90%. At the time of paying for treatment, most providers will likely require payment be received prior to returning the pet to the owner. Simply ask the office to complete the Claim form that can be easily prepared from the web ahead of time, or provide a blank form for future use with the office. The information will be reviewed by the underwriting agency, and payment remitted. Some aspects to be aware of for first claims, Trupanion will want to receive copies of medical records to verify pre-existing conditions prior to pet being insured. In my case, I insured my pet the first evening in my home. The responsiveness of the particular vet's office will determine when this request is fulfilled. Delay will result in claim remaining pending, but I do not consider that to be problematic.

Easy to Use and a Great Deal
Healthy Paws was there for my dog and I when she had a serious health crisis. The company's app was really easy to use, and I was able to submit claims by taking photographs of the bills from the vet with my iPhone camera. The reimbursement rate is very generous and it put my mind at ease during a really stressful time.

Amazing Customer Service and Very Responsive
I have two rescue goldendoodles and can't imagine what I would have done without Healthy Paws Insurance. My male, StanLee, had just turned one and we found a lump on his shoulder. Took him to the vet and found out it was an aggressive growth tumor. The cytology report indicated it was cancerous so he had to have surgery to remove it. Filing claims for each appointment was extremely easy, I just took a picture of the invoice and loaded it via the mobile app. I received a check for each claim within a week!

I highly recommend Embrace
I have been very pleased with the ease and efficiency of the claims process, including the online status tool. Also the customer service is excellent. We have a lab and have had him insured with Embrace for a number of years. Our dog was diagnosed with a cancerous mass, and the least stressful/difficult part of his surgery was the claims process. All claims were processed quickly and exactly as expected.

Know what you are getting
Had for 8 years. First major medical claim, and got reimbursed for 50%. Like other reviewers stated use outdated numbers. Said my dogs surgery should cost $1200. Told them give me the name of one vet in the U.S.A. that will do a torn ACL surgery for $1200. Was told they are not allowed to give out the information.

Simple, easy, fast, comprehensive!
Not only was HealthyPaws quick to turn around our claim, but they checked in on Luna to see how she was doing after her accident too. It's great to see such dedication to the families HealthyPaws support and understanding that quick turnarounds are critical when dealing with expensive vet bills. Extremely Pleased
Have had VPI since Rio was a pup. He has been healthy and no need to see the Vet other than his regular checkups. On his senior checkup at 7 yrs old, vet discovers that his liver functions were high. Had to run several blood draws, fasting and two hours after eating. Has had an ultra sound of the liver to determine if he had cancer. Thankfully, he doesn't. Now they want to do a liver biopsy which is scaring me a bit. Anyhow, I have spent over $1350 the past 8 months, on specialists, tests, medicines and the like. Received back $1018 in paid claims. All claims were paid within two weeks. I love their website and their online claims. Have recommended the company to many of my family and friends and will continue recommending them. Great company to work with. Knowledgeable customer service agents clarifying what is and what is not covered. We have Major Medical.

Excellent & efficient
Our 3 legged cat had surgery for removal of a malignant tumour on her back. Varsity Veterinary Clinic Calgary seems to have built an excellent relationship with Trupanion. On each visit we received a paper estimate from Trupanion's cover before we left, and by the tme I got home (10 minute walk) Trupanion's email confirmation had arrived by computer.
