Best insurance ever!
My 12 year old kitty had a sprained leg due to being in a car accident. Submitted the claim and within a week received reimbursement for 80% of the bill. I've had other pet insurance and Embrace reimburses the most! I highly recommend this insurance!

Excellent as always
My chocolate lab needed surgery to remove a rock he ate. The rock got stuck in his intestine(s), and actually perforated his bowel. This is the 2nd time in less than 2 years that this has happened. With both of these instances, and every other claim we have filed with Embrace, the service has been second to none. I recommend Embrace to everyone who has a pet. Covering my 4 dogs was one of the best decisions I have ever made concerning them!

Simba is here because of Healthy Paws
My dog , Simba, German Shepherd, 1 year old, intermittently started limping a bit. Our Vet initially thought its Pano. Slowly it started to get worse. He will play a little bit and then drop on ground. He didn't like to run or go on walks. Vet did x-rays and found that both of his elbows have severe elbow dysphasia. Total cost of x-ray was around $750. He was referred to visit a surgeon and total estimate for his surgery was around $6000. There is no way I can afford this kind of surgery. I called up healthy paws and asked them if surgery will be covered by health insurance we have for Simba. There consultant on phone was very polite. She looked into the case and told me that it will be covered. I don't need to worry at all. Right after surgery, we filled claim, which by the way is very easy and money was reimbursed to me in less than 10 days. Amazing people, amazing service. Simba has recovered well after surgery and is very active. If you have pet you gotta have Healthy paws insurance. Thanks Healthy paws.

They are there for you!
Lucky we had Trupanion, my puppy had emergency surgery and they responded so quickly. Things went pretty smooth but would have been much smoother had the emergency clinic known how to submit properly.

Amazing Service
Great monthly price for awesome insurance. When we had to make a claim it was so easy and it was handled quickly, with everything we expected to be cover being covered.

Another Chance at Life
My 6 year old GSP was recently admitted to the ER for 2 days with plummeting vital signs, internal bleeding, and an eventual diagnosis of a-typical Addison's Disease. Without the financial support of Healthy Paws, we would have been unable to pay the extensive medical bills we were responsible for. Healthy Paws helped me bring my baby home, and for that I am forever grateful.

VPI not so good!
Had some trouble with VPI from the beginning of signing up with them 2 years back. They denied my first claim on the grounds that it was "too soon," it was made about 2 months after my insurance began and was not for anything very big or serious, just a short-term ear infection. VPI claimed, initially, that they had not got my dog's veterinary records. This was not true, he was a rescue dog from Bideawee, Manhattan, NYC. and all of the information that the well reputed, animal hospital there had been made available to VPI. Bideawee vets had watched him for health problems for several weeks before being deeming him ready for adoption. There were no pre-existing health problems. In the subsequent 2 years VPI has always been very slow and seemingly very grudging about reimbursements. Now this small, Chihuahua-mix, rescue dog will turn 4 years old this September, 2015, but VPI has already seen fit to start charging me the addition $5.00 a month fee since June. This additional fee is for a dog that's 4 years old. A phone call by me to VPI re this produced nothing but a rather arrogant, negative response. Lastly, VPI has an on-line magazine for it's customers that I'm unable to download on my Mac computer, (I'm not sure why this is,) but again a call to VPI about it was met with a "not our problem" attitude! My request for a possible hard-copy edition was flatly turned down.
