Our puppy injured his arm but the vets are having a hard time figuring out if it's a sholder, elbow, or both issue.Trupanion has been very good in covering 90% of the cost of all the tests & therapy. They were very thorough in the beginning, tracing our puppy back to birth. But after the initial background check things have flowed very quickly. None of these tests are cheap. I'm so glad we have insurance.

This was our first claim and I was impressed with the organized way it was handled. Trupanion kept me informed every step of the way. When I called in to ask a question the people are always very friendly and helpful.

Awesome Company!
I could not be happier with the service provided by Trupanion. I had another provider for a different dog and they couldn't be more night and day. Trupanion is prompt, efficient, friendly, and very clear (no non-sense) in their explanation of benefits for every claim. I have had no problems with them receiving paperwork and should they need anything (additional paper work, info, whatnot) THEY do the leg work. If there is a problem, they try and contact you in multiple ways. My dog needed knee surgery (TPLO) and Trupanion made it possible for her to get it. I started coverage for my pound puppy at 3 months old (the sooner the better) and while it's not the cheapest, I would definitely recommend this company to anyone!

Tripled my premium
I have been very happy with this plan for many years. Now because my dog is 14 years old they changed my policy and tripled my premium. This is how they treat customer who has been with them for many years (and only filed two minor claims). Watch out everyone for a triple increase in your premium when your dog gets older!!!!!

ASPCA Pet Insurance has generally been reliable. I have not experienced any difficulties with the claim process. The most recent claim had $600.00 in charges. Of this amount, ASPCA reimbursed about $340.00.
