Well worth the money.
I adopted sage and immediately bought the insurance. I purchased the injury and routine visits. I figured her being a puppy, the routine visits would definitely need to be done and she was bound to get into something. I was trying to crate train her and in doing so she ripped many of her nails. She had to receive treatment on her nails multiple times, they had to sedate her and fix the nails. I met my deductible very quickly and was grateful to receive money back that I otherwise would have been out without having ASPCA as my insurance. I had no problem submitting claims and receiving my money back. ASPCA even went as far as calling my vet to verify information. I definitely will upgrade my policy when my year is up to their sick policy. They found after I boarded her that she had a UTI which is not covered because it is sick and not a injury or a routine I really regretted not having the bigger policy.

VPI (Nationwide) Pet Insurance has been wonderful!
Our 8-year old bichon poodle Carly has, unfortunately, had several serious medical issues. She is diabetic and needed emergency gall bladder surgery this past year. Our 3-year old Siamese cat Cooper has been very healthy, but he ate 5 feet of sting when he was 6 months old and also needed emergency surgery. VPI has saved us thousands of dollars, and has always paid our claims promptly. The customer service agents that I have talked with have been very compassionate and supportive. I have highly recommended the company to all of our pet owner friends.

Thank you for everything you have done for us! We have had coverage for both my Vizsla Dogs since they came home at 8 weeks old, they are an energetic breed so I thought if something ever happened what would I do?? I signed up and thank god I did, my Rosoce came from a not so good breeder, my poor boy! Hip dyplasia, torn ACL, then surgery and some therapy however I didn't include the rider so I take him to acupuncture monthly for approximately 100.00 a session. Thank you for all your help and I'll keep Tucker as healthy and safe as possible!!!

Trupanion has covered every single claim submitted
Trupanion has supported our two senior dogs through some really tough times. Both of our dogs have required significant financial support and Trupanion has been there for us all the way!!! They also support us by covering 90% of medications for our old dogs. They take a lot of meds. Honestly, one of our dogs would not be alive without the help of Trupanion. We have been 100% satisfied with them on all fronts. Customer service and coverage. We will always have Trupanion as our insurance provider.

Disappointing and frustrating!
I will say that Embrace has an EXCELLENT customer service team. I have called about a dozen times and have only gotten one person who was not as bubbly and friendly as an over-caffeinated Starbucks barista. They have always been prompt about processing wellness claims for me. But recently my dog needed exploratory abdominal surgery and then a GI biopsy. She was diagnosed with tapeworms around the same time, too. After the surgery, she had a few minor complications and her total vet bills reached about $1300-$1400. It has taken Embrace over a MONTH to even process her claims, and they incorrectly processed the claim with her surgery on it (~$1000). I incorrectly submitted the claim by including two different invoices on the same claim, but after at least 5 calls to check on claim statuses, no one told me that only one invoice could be approved per claim. I figured that out myself after her claim for the surgery and tapeworm treatment was approved for $90 (which was only the tapeworm treatment). It has been a month since I sent these documents in, and I had to call again to get them to work on the claim for her surgery. I really wanted to love Embrace, and until now I did, but I feel like I've had to pester and push them every step of the way in this process. Their customer service team is always polite and appears to be helpful, but 33 days later, I'm still waiting for my dog's surgery claim to be covered--actually, just REVIEWED. I've enjoyed working with them in the past for wellness claims, but when I really needed them, they left me out to dry.

Life saver!
When my 8 year old Wheaten started showing signs of a nasal tumor and then started having seizures, I was consumed with worry. I'm so grateful that I didn't have to also worry about how I'd pay for his vet bills. It was a huge comfort to know that I could allow his vet to do whatever was necessary to get my fur-kid healthy again. I'm happy to report that not only is Murphy healthy and happy, but Embrace covered our claims with no questions. I recommend pet insurance to everybody now!
